Dr. B gave me the go ahead to try veggies from list 4:) I don't know where to begin & am very nervous to start. I know some of you would kill me for saying this but having such food limitations feel safe... Control issues for me:))) I would just like some advice or ideas for those further in treatment. & on the list it says bananas??? Can we really eat a banana??????

That's wonderful Amy :) I totally understand your worries, I am slow in adding stuff even though Dr. B ok'ed it. I am in list 3 now, and recently ok'd to try fruits from List 4 as well as evoo. She told me to start with mango, pears and apples, but if you got ok'd to the whole list, i'd probably follow the same routine in earlier stages, start with vegetables then add the rest? I often tell my friends that my self control comes from being pain trained :) but i wonder when we reach later stages, with lessening of symptoms, if we'll find the same self control to maintain our health for the rest of our lives. Enjoy List 4! It's full of fun stuff, as long as you keep your proportions equal and pair fruits and starches with protein, you should be ok :)

OMG!!! That is exactly how I feel and I haven't been able to express or understand why I felt that way. Control and safety is the root of why I'm having a problem trying new foods. For me it's list 3. I always need to feel safe and the unknown scares me. Just want to say thanks for giving me a bit of clarity about my own issues. Hope someone can help you.
