Hi all-

I am going to NYC on business and would love a few good recommendations for restaurants that are Matia-diet friendly. I will be staying in Central Park. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks!

MM

On of the easiest places to eat clean in Manhattan on the Matia diet is Lifethyme natural marketplace:

It's not a restaurant per se, more of a health food store with a steam table, but there is lots of seating available upstairs.  They always have some kind of plain roasted chicken and turkey, plain rice, different combinations of steamed veggies, etc.  They also carry Natren probiotics and different herbs if you need some in a pinch.  It's in the West Village, not near Central Park, but it's right off the West 4th street stop and a lot of trains go there.

Which side of the park are you on?
I like:
Community Food and Juice
Fairway is a grocery store at 72nd. They have an EXCELLENT roast chicken with slammin mashed potatoes
They also have an east side store opening on July 20th.
I'd totally go out to eat with you if you have time, I love Lifethyme's salad bar and chicken soup.

Thanks so much for these suggestions, they sound great. I do need to take a client out for a business dinner, so if anyone has a suggestion for a more formal sit down place as well, it would be greatly appreciated.

Community Food and Juice is a nice sit down place (I recommend the brick chicken), but its further up on the west side (@112).

Try Westville.  They have mutiple locations, though I prefer the one in Chelsea.
They use regular olive oil to cook their veggies and proteins and are very, very accomodating.
