question about reaction times

question... when you eat something that you find irritates your symptoms a bit, how long does the reaction usually last? i know it will vary, but just curious to get a ballpark. matia and i have been trying to figure out why i have been flaring for so long, so i decided to go off all grains and actually seem to be feeling better. in the meantime, i've also been off asparagus again for about a week because i had a feeling that might be a contributing culprit of late as well. anyway, since i had a calmer baseline, i added asparagus back in last night to test and right after had throat burning (which i have had on and off for at least a month - but which had gone away the last few days on this more restricted diet). it also seems to have kicked up my vulvar irritation a bit. as such, just curious about how long the increased irritation usually lasts. also, while i'm on the subject, has anyone ever had throat burning as a reaction to a food? i've always thought of it as die off rather than a food intolerance reaction. thanks!

So I am finding after a year of treatment that when I eat something I am not ready for the reaction starts within the day of consumption  usually pretty quickly within an hour or two of consupmtionand tends to last as short as a few hours- to maybe 24 hours but usually it goes away pretty fast. I figured out that these eggs that were super good- organic and and local were probably fed with  flax although it did not state that on the carton- that kept me flaring everytime  like clockworkand this would happen evertime I visited my friend who served them to me when I'd stay at her house. I couldn't figure it out!   I  suspected but wasn't sure until I figured this out thanks to a post a while backon eggs.  I still feel like sometimes I barely tolerate asparagus so it makes sense if its kicking up your irritation levels. I initally tried blueberries awhile back and that caused burnign for several hours but it cleared up fast and then I tried them again about a month later and it was a little bit of burning but much less so its like I'm almost there but not quite. i have been doing pretty well lately- grains are truly challenging as I have tolerated them better or worse off and on. go figure the bif that had me flaring bad 6 weeks ago is now tolerated without a problem. Truly werid. It will change even though it feels like its not ever going to. no throat burning but aren't there immune system organs in the throat- like lympth or something? I think of food intolerence as a symptom of die off and the greater imablence going on- I get severe throat/nose itching/burning whenever I am in a moldy house. its unbearable!thanks.Mary
