Question, for those on list 2 or higher?

Were you able to tolerate coffee?? It is my favorite food (I was very moderate with it when I had it, one cup per day) but I sure miss it, along with alot of other things right now.

I tried working some coffee into my diet when I was on list 3.  I started off with small amounts and did okay. Surprisingly, I did better on coffee than I did on tea at first. Now I have coffee a few times a week and I'm okay.  Once in a while it'll irritate me a bit -- cause a little bit of stinging or frequency -- for no reason.  However, it doesn't seem to be hindering my healing so, I figure as long as I enjoy it in moderation, it's probably fine.Does that help?Lauren

That helps. Congrats on your progress. How long have you had IC and how long were you on list 1? I have been on list 1 for 4 days and it feels like 4months ;) Is your bladder feeling mostly better? It sounds like it!
Anyone else want to chime in on their luck or lack therof with coffee? Tx!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Hey Mimij67,
I have drunk coffee throughout treatment and have not had an issue with it. I simply needed flavor-free organic coffee and have had no problems with it.... moderation... of course;) Good luck!

Not me. The last time I tried it was July and it was bad. Eventually, I adjusted to water hot and cold only. Now I am more I interested in adding foods but I suppose I will try it again eventually. Everyone is different. 1/4 cup does cause a lot of pain. 4 days does feel like 4 years. You can read all my crabby posts from back in the day:)

Yes!
I did not have it the first month of treatment, and it was hard. But after that I was allowed to have it. Thank goodness!
It was hard drinking it straight black in the beginning but then I got used to it. Now I love it black.
