Today Goldenseal was added to my protocol. I've taken it only once so far. I had on and off bladder and urethral pain today but after taking 1 dose my bladder and urethra are on FIRE. I've had more frequency that also burns. I am on my sofa with a heat pad on my bladder hoping my pain will disappear. Has anyone taken Goldenseal for pain and has had the same reaction that I'm experiencing? Is this normal? Will the pain go away? I just need some words of wisdom.
-30 degrees today. Cold weather is not helping.

I had a lot of pain the first week of treatment, from trying to get the probiotic right. She tried one dose of goldenseal and it did not change my pain so she took it out. But she said she was never convinced that it was right for where I was in treatment. All of her decisions are based on where you are personally in treatment, right? Very individual. I hope you are communicating with her. She might tell you to hang in or she might change things. I know she uses goldenseal for all kinds of things and it can be very effective. maybe it will just take a minor tweak. I wish I could help more!
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
Dr. B told me to try it a couple of times and then contact her. I will take another dose with my dinner in about 1 hour and then if it still hurts I will email her. I really want to contact her at this moment but she said a couple of times. I think that means 2X. The pain in my bladder and lower back does not want to go away. Where did this horrible disease come from?

Sandi- I think I can really relate to teh fear you are feeling. What I will say and I hope htis helps is this- Dr Brizman is a detective and sometimes needs to try a few things to rule other things out etc. Don't be too fearful if things seem to be reacting badly- just keep following what she says and letting her knkow what is going on and she will put the pieces together

I had to take my dose of Goldenseal with my dinner but I didn't. I emailed Dr. B to see what she thought about my reaction to it and I waiting for a response . I'm not sure if I sould wait or just take it as it's getting late. (East Coast time)
