Who else is taking the 'Rehmanniae Peonniae' formula? I want to pass on the tip that if u open the capsule and put some of the powder on yr tongue it tastes delicious! Being on List 1 and moving very slowly to List 2 I am in need of delicious tastes. It tastes a bit like dark chocolate without the sugaryness - it's got the same velvety bitterness. Yum!

wish I would have known, I have been on and off it for quite some time. IF i ever go back on it I will give it a taste. I am not supprised considering what is in that formula. After all it's goji berries, chinese yam and I can't recall whatelse is in there. I don't know why i never really thought about tasting it.

I wish I had known that too! I used to work as an acupunturist assistant - just taking out needles, doing massage and mixing up tea formulas. (one of my best ever jobs.) the clinic was in a HUGE purple rambling victorian house that had in what was probably a once a parlor room or library they had been transformed into a large herb dispensary. Many happy memories of jars and jars of fragrant bitter and stinky herbs of all kinds and shapes and colors are organized by their functions and pin yin chinese names. I LOVED the Goji berry and peony, this black tarry sweet root I can't remember  and this other berry that I cannot recall now best of all -what it's name was-it was similair in odor to goji but bigger but it smelled AMAZINGLY delicious. like raspberries and honey and vanilla. I found all it utterly facintating and adored being surrounded by these incredible plant parts. A student of TCM told me that the formula (tea) for UTI's was apparently the most bitter foul tasting stuff imaginable. I think he said " I wanted to shave my tongue to get it out of my mouth."  Students are frequently invited to taste and sample the teas/herbs to help them deeply memorize and learn them.   I imagine such bitterness is necessary to kill off the UTI bacteria!  I heart plant medicine! One time we gave her a tea formula that had  sea horse in it to a woman who was extremely overdue to have her baby-  she had it the next day! Next time I have that formula I will try it and enjoy the complex sweet flavor- although I am beginning to have such a sensitvie palatte that I am detecting sweetness in things I didn't think were sweet. - squash and avocadoes. werid!

I am on this formula.  Is it okay to take the herb by putting it on your tongue?  Have you tried making a tea?  I wonder what that tastes like?  I just pop the capsules.

I am also on this, but haven't been game enough to put the herb on my tongue. However Curiosity might get the better of me and I may have to give it a go. As far as tea goes, me and all my stupidity didn't know that you could make a tea out of this herb. I think for the time being since I have just started with Matia, popping the capsules will also be my way to go.

I just got put on this and it should be here tomorrow- I am dying to taste it after these comments! I could care less if it makes me hurt if it tastes something like chocolate! haha. It would be awesome to make a tea out of it. Has anyone actually tried to do this?

I loved that herb! You are right, it's delicious. There was another herb I took for while that I had to make a tea out of... I was SO SAD when she took me off of it, because I just LOVED my herb-time, it was yummy.I just don't get that excited about the taste of probiotics, SF and Fish Oil. hmmPlease put me back on R.P  lol!!!

This formula was helpful to me when I was on it. It is very nourishing and I think it was during this time that I started to see some improvemnt in my reproductive/menstral cycle/hormones. It has a detoxifying effect and is helpful to the liver, it is good for inflammation, and pain especially with heat signs and is supposed to resolve stagnated blood- improve ciruclation. I think what's cool is that each herb- rehmmaniae and peony has its own special properties that assist in different ways but when combined together in a formula they have a kind of synergistic powerful action. It is a indeed a slow acting herb - it helped my bladder pain but I noticed this happening over a long time span. I adore the smell- its  got this kind of  almost fruity like dried figs or rich and earthy sweet smell. chinese herbs range from bitter and sour smelling tasting to down right heavenly. We are lucky that we take them in capsule form cause teas can be REAL intense!

Hello all!
I forgot how to post a new topic so I thought I would ask here.  I have two bottles of Rhemmanie Scutallaria that I don't think are right for me and I need to be on Rhemmania Peony AGAIN and I am rapidly burning through paycheck as we speak  buying other herbs.  I was wondering if anyone would like to trade their RP for Rhemmnaie Scutallarie? We are not supposed to give out addresses and all that stuff so if anyone is interested int this trade then write me at sugahbean@gmail.com. I would include in my shipment to you 2 unopened bottle of Rhemmania Scutellaria  and a pre paid shipping label and envelope for the RP you send to me so all you would have to do is pop it back in the mailbox ! If this deal appeals to you then let me know. If this is not a kosher operation to discuss here let me know that too. Thank you wonderful ICAMA people. Guiding peace- Mary
