I eat them toasted with olive oil- sometimes I think they taste like popcorn, but then I tasted REAL popcorn the other day, and they are really not as good....I probably eat 3 a day. I think it's too many but I can't help myself. I notice if I don't eat them, I feel better but I crave the crunchy carbs.

Deir--are you cleared for raw milk? If so I posted a recipe for rice flour crepes. There's also a recipe on here using yogurt and butter for rice biscuits.
i can eat an entire large bag of potato chips in one sitting. i am confused about why we should limit the rice cakes? simply bc we are supposed to limit the number of carbs we eat?
i like suzy's thin cakes- the lightly salted brown rice ones. thinner than the average rice cake, so you can eat a few more.

I had to stop buying the Suzi's thin cakes because seriously- they are too good and I eat way too many. I have such good self control and I never cheat but if I am hungry i reach for those and i just don't think it is the best. it does bum me out that I need to even deny myself the rice cakes I like though.

another snack idea: red pepper with avocado (1:1) with garlic powder and salt. surprisingly good.
Carbs turn into sugar which feed the yeast. That's why it's important to eat them with a little protein to slow down the sugar load in the body. And I eat way too many too. I will say when I was on list 3 I didn't eat one rice cake or potato chip. Not one. But now back on list 2, I am eating 1-3 rice cakes a day, brown rice tortillas and potato chips galore. It seems so ridiculous to me that I can have potato chips but not an apple with almond butter. I get that it's bc of pain but still, so crazy! So for those on list 2, your days of rice cakes may be short lived once you can get to list 3 and have other snacks and make the biscuits or crepes with dairy.
