Off of rice. Snack ideas?

I also can't do raw veggies yet. I can do spelt toast though...off of rice and turkey temporarily. In flare land too...looking for ideas. Thanks for,reading! Carey

Are you on list 1??! I never really snacked until end of list 2 list 3. You can do things like hard boiled egg.... Cold chicken drumsticks... List one zuchini muffins? You will probably move up the lists faster than you think. I have never been out of pain & after  6 months I was already moved to list 3. I am happy there. I feel like too many options right now would get me into trouble:)))

Yes that is what I meant:))) she still moved me through the lists while in pain. She gave me the go ahead for list 4 veggies but I decided to wait on that until I am more stable. I have been in treatment for 15 months.

If you live anywhere near a whole foods they have spelt pretzels. When I use them they don't seem to hurt at all. Mashing blueberries into greek yogurt is kind of like ice cream too. Just saying if you can tolerate it.

HI Julie, I am afraid spelt pretzels have YEAST in them?? I have never seen a commercial pretzel, ever, without yeast, but maybe one exists?? Also I think Carey is on list 1 so no yogurt. or blueberries yet I think?
 
Carey, they move you up the lists because the diet is to control the inflammation not to control all symptoms. We need to work up to more variety over time. There are things on list 3 that are actually good for the immune system if inflammation is low enough (Berries, for example). 

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Having said that you can make home-made spelt pretzels without yeast.
