I wanted to know if anyone had experience with these panties and if this is something that Matia allows or encourages her IC patients to use.

There is no taboo subject on this board right? So what about feminine odor? According to Matia's theory, bacterial and fungal overgrowth is a key component involved in IC and we all know that overgrowth of bacteria can definitely lead to odor problems.

So I am guessing that I am not the only one dealing wiht this issue. The problem is that most conventional treatments for feminine odor only makes the problem worse. Products  such as cleansers, sprays and powders that have perfumes, strong anti-septic or other ingredients that  just exacerbate the IC; the root problem. 

I found this product online. They are panties that have silver somehow integrated "silver" into the fabric. It is sold at Gaiam.

The product claims:

This sounds good to me. I have been reading more and more about metals incorporated in fabrics and products to create anti-bacterial products. It sounds to me like a better way of controlling bacteria then toxic chemicals.
