Does anyone have a sore-bottom? I have lost alot of weight and it is really hard for me to sit very long. I am at work and it is just getting worse. I am now 7 months in treatment and have gotten better in some areas, but the sore bottom is horrible.

I am so with you on this! I sit as well at a desk and computer and it really sometimes I think coupled with stockings makes the VV ( vulvadynia and IC ) at least the inflammation worse. I know that its kind of a result of a lack of circulation and the sustained pressure from sitting makes me feel bad sometimes. I wonder if you could get a more supportive cushion - I'm thinking of doing so! I used to but need to start again- taking time to walk around my building and get some fresh air.Maybe you could try some light yoga to help on an overall basis? If I think of anything else that will help I'll let you know. I live in dresses and loose clothing! It's gotten better over the last year but its still somewhat an issue for me.Mary
mesh chairs are the best
i have this issue too - predominantly on my left side, right around my thigh crease, back of my thigh, left glute. it sucks hugely when you have to sit all day at work, but it's not always that bad these days. it really waxes and wanes. getting up and walking around every now and again to get the blood back into the tissues and out to the nerves is key otherwise the nerves get more irritated. either that or going to the ladies room and kneading the area a bit to get the blood circulating. also, as far as chairs, i find that cushions of any kind are the worst because then my legs can't "breathe" - that sounds weird but hopefully you get what i mean. i find that sitting on chairs that have a mesh-type seat are the absolute best - like those fancy herman miller chairs. but you can buy knock offs at places like office depot. following is a link to show you the type of chair i mean: http://www.beyondtheofficedoor.com/ErgoHumanMeshLo.php. hope this helps!

I can't belive you can even bear to wear stockings. I used to wear thy highs instead if I had to wear them. I haven't worn them in yrs though as I feel you can get a way with wearing dresses with out them. As for the soar bottom you might neeed something more like this
