Hi Lolo,

Sorry that you still seem to be stuck between Western and Eastern medicine - I know what a juggling act that is.  I can't speak sto strokes - I just know that when I was put on Statins the muscular pain was excruciating - chose to quit them - and chose to not to have another cholesterol check.  This was long before Matia.  I'm only telling you this if you should decide to go on them - and have the same problem.  My GP pretty much let me know that I was NOT right in thinking that it iwas the statins that were causing the problem.  HOWEVER, pain stopped when statins stopped......

Take Care,

Denise

Thanks Denise!!! This is welcome. I'm gathering all info on subject.

I had no problem refusing statins for higher cholesterol before having the TIA, but a bit shaky after having the event..Yes, the place between TCM and mainstream med is bloomin' uncomfortable.

I found a film "Statin Nation" and the sequel..Wow..It does bolster our alternative/complementary path..FYI in case interested.. (portion on YouTube...
