I recently bought some new underwear and my vagina has been super irritated lately. I am wondering if there is a correlation. It is 100% cotton, but it is kind of stiff. It's Hanes brand and is white. It doesn't feel particularly irritated while I'm wearing it, but maybe over time it is bothering me? This could just be a vulvodynia flare up, but I am going to the GYN just to make sure it isn't an infection. It just feels so raw down there right now.
I would love to know if there is a good quality brand of underwear that I can use that is cotton and soft. When I looked online, I found super soft underwear made with modal which is partly synthetic so I don't know if that would be okay or not.

I have worn the Hanes with no problem except for the elastic part itches me in most every brand I have tried. Ugh. Hoping it is not infection and that you can get in under control with finding the cause. Hugs!!!

Thanks, Patty. Doc said there is no infection. Everything looks perfect. So it is just a major aggravation of the nerves. Sometimes this is just so hard.
Matia suggested that I wash the underwear several times in a row, so I did that today. We'll see how it goes.

After a lot of irritation, I resorted to a mini panti-liner by Natracare. I change daily and it works for me. Bonus is cutting down on laundry..I have wondered if any others are doing this with success?

It's so hard when the pain gets distracting like this. It's exhausting. Hopefully things will get better soon for all of us!
