Wondering what to do with UTI

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone who has had a UTI during treatment can help me out.  I am in a mountain of pain and went to the MD and tested positive for a UTI.  Matia was emailing me earlier today but seems to be on vacation now.  I have her UTI herbs but do not know the dosages for the more "advanced" herbs.

In addition to the relentless bladder pain, I'm having dizzyness and nausea and have thrown up a bit a couple of times.  I drank almost 2 liters of water in an hour and continue to have barley a trickle of pee come out.  It's like my kidneys are blocked.

I'm scared to take abx but I'm scared NOT to as well and end up with a kidney infection.  I know this is a choice I'm going to have to make, but  I'd love to know what other people have experienced in a situation like this.

I hope none of you ever get to experience this!  I feel like I'm in a nightmare! I hope I'm not scaring people but I am desperate for some support and help.

Claire I am so sorry! Did you see this from her UTI post.

"If you wake up in the middle of the night with a UTI, take 2 ear 2 GML #2 and one goldenseal--stop the rest of your herbs immediately and contact me in the morning. This combination is generally necessary to take 4 times per day for about one week's time."
I think you are already taking ear/gml but it seems the goldenseal is important and to take it 4 x per day and email her tomorrow and Friday. Hopefully you will hear from her friday??? Keep us posted!!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

She asked me to take 3 goldenseal to start with and overnight GML (3 pills) and Ear Formula (2 pills).
There is alsom GML sold by chineseherbsdirect. They ship fast. But they are not as strong as Bomamed's and require increased dose.

Sorry I can't help you with the UTI, i've never had one, but when i read your post i just wanted to reply that you should be careful not to drink too much water. 2L in an hour is too much. Electrolytes can become imbalanced and you can actually get 'water intoxication'. It happened to a friend of mine who drank a couple of litres of water on a warm day, and one of the symptoms is nausea and vomiting.
