So, I have been doing quite well lately (by my standards) and have had many days where I'm basically symptom free.  Then last week I got hit with a doozy of a spirit-crushing flare.  It was like I had regressed 2 years!  I was so, so miserable.  As of yesterday, it seems to have lifted.  of course I spent a great deal of time anxiously trying to figure out the cause, and I have many theories that'll have to wait til my appt. with Matia. But I had a question that I thought I'd put to the group...

I bake at a gluten-free bakery and have recently started making some of the yeasted breads.  I'm careful not to touch the dough or inhale anything near the dough, but still, I'm wondering if my proximity to active dry yeast that hasn't been baked may be the one of the causes of monster flare time.  I'd love to know what others think of this theory.

as an aside, I'm having trouble getting posts to post on here now.  Anyone else?

So wonderful to hear you are having more days symptom free :) It's sometimes harder to handle a flare after things going so well for a while. But thankfully it didn't last for too long!!!! Yes, It sounds very probable that it's the proximity or even somehow in the air or carried over. When Pacific Bakery was closed, and i had to start ordering my bread from French Meadows, i was very nervous at first (although Matia ok'ed it) tha PB's noted that they were 100% yeast free operation, none of their breads had it, therefore no contimination into other flours. Do you work with bare hands? Can it be any other ingredient you usually work with?
Also, I think when i have a die off, it takes longer to get out of, and has other symptoms, not as much bladder related, but aches, flu like symptoms, tiredness etc. Very interested in what Matia says!
