Forums:
I just started treatment with Matia in late Oct. Things have been a little bumpy with my urgency and frequency but up until now I haven't had any die off. At least none that I'm aware of. Then about a week ago I started having vaginal yeast. It is progressing and now it burns when I urinate. It is always worse first thing in the morning and feels better as the day progresses. Matia told me that I could insert plain yogurt twice a day and that has helped. One day is so different from the next. Yesterday I felt great and today I feel terrible. My diet has not changed. I eat exactly the same thing everyday, so I know it's not a flare due to food. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me about this phase of treatment. Thanks, Tammy
Sometimes when the immune
Sometimes when the immune system is being stimulated it can cause an increase in symptoms. There will be ups and downs as you go through the process all along. Don't feel like your regressing sometimes you may need a bit of a change and sometimes it just means more layers are being exposed. Yeast is tricky and takes a long time. I think that is something that requires a lot of patience. I seem to do better if i keep some water next to my bed and drink a little if i wake up in the night. I know if i still have a full glass it was a good sleep but I always drink a full glass first thing in the morning to get all those toxins out again. I sip my water all day too and that seems to do best. If i go too long with out drinking water I end up in more pain. I wish i had more wise words to offer you just know that there will be a light and eventually the good days will outweigh the bad.
ive been on the diet list 1
ive been on the diet list 1 for about a month,im seeing matia ina few weeks. im not sure if this is part of die off along with the other crazy symptoms but im having vaginal redness and dryness that hurts. i dont think ive had this before and im just wondering if anyone else has this? i really dont want to go to the doctor if its nothing serious and theres something i could do at home? any suggestions and advice on what to do untill i see matia?
Yes, plain yogurt helps!
Matia told me that I could insert PLAIN yogurt twice a day and this helped me a lot. I just took a plastic medicine syringe and cut the pointy tip off the end. This made it smooth enough to insert. If you go to the doctor they will very likely just reccommend something that will make you worse in the end. Try this and see if it helps. I did it first thing in the morning and just before bedtime. Also, Brown Cow plain it very thick and stays put longer. Hope this helps. Tammy
Probiotic yoghurt
I guess you should make sure the yoghurt is probiotic - with live cultures. Avoid using anti-fungal OTC or prescription stuff as, while may give temporary relief, it makes things worse in the long run. Matia told me not to use these.
is the vaginal irritation
is the vaginal irritation part of die off? does anyone know what causes this, im just curious if its actually a good thing, if my body is trying to heal from just being on the diet
Thrush
The vaginal irritation sounds like yeast infection. I guess the die-off is a good thing as it's a sort of detoxifying process, the effects are not pleasant but overall it must be a good thing in that it is a sign of cleansing and eliminating excess yeast. Why not start taking a probiotic, Matia recommends Natren, I think most people start on megadophilus (superdophilus). Order the veggie capsules, open them and take the powder mixed in water (don't swallow the capsules).Hope this helps.
vaginl discharge
I am just wondering if anyone else has had vaginal discharge or maybe a yeast infection going through treatment. I at first thought that I was having a reaction to having a pelvic exam on Tuesday but since I am now thinking that I may have yeast infection or die off. Any suggestions. I have tried yogurt and am now trying goldenseal with jojoba oil. If it is die off maybe I just have to ride this out. Bladder is hanging in thank goodness.
Thanks
