Intestine Pain

So, since I have been really good on the diet, the past 4 days I am having really bad intestine pain.  The middle to the left side, and it is like a radiating sharp pain that comes and goes.  I stopped taking my pro-biotc a few weeks back, so I am not on any supplement when I see Matia, so I am wondering if this is because I am not giving my body good bacteria?  Although, many times I had to stop taking certain brands of pro-biotcs because they make my stomach hurt.  Anyway, the pain is really annoying, and new..and its confusing cause I am eating so healthy.  I do not eat any veges raw, only steamed because of stomach problems in the past.  My mind always goes to the worst, and I think cancer..so I am looking for others to tell me you have had this and I need to not be so worried.

It might be die off being that it is left sided i know your lymph system is more left sided. Most of my pain is on the left. Try drinking warm water with your food I know your not too far away from your apt. When is it for? What kind of probiotics were you on anyway? It sounds like they may have been helping you. You might try getting some of the Natren brand and just do a low dose of the mega or the bif. I am sure she will put you on them at some point anyway. just start off very small. That is what I would do.

I am reading online and thinking it could be an ulcer, and I am worried it is one that is caused by infection. I have antibiotics leftover, I was going to take them..but decided that was not smart.  My appointment is on the 27th, so its over 3 weeks away.  What is "mega" and "bif"?  Are those probiotcs she puts you on?  I will see if any stores around me carry them.

i can't be sure of course- but I think what you are experiencing is quite common - stomach  pain and intestinal cramping. I think when yeast is getting killed off it just hurts. So there are  many symptoms of die off come up- stick around or leave quickly and they can be really uncomfortable and mimic things like ulcers - I have had symtoms come up that really freaked me out. I'm thinking I am dying only to notice a few days later that they mysteriously passed. It is a strange journey to health! Please I would under no circumstances unless they were prescribed by your doctor for life saving purposes or series infection purposes take antibiotics that were left over. For one thing- there are different antibiotics for different kinds of infections. But I digress... Nicole was suggesting that maybe you could try the probiotics that Matia prescribes to us. They are available by online order and they are made by Natren. Megadolphilus ( acidolphilus) and Bifidus Natren's product that contains this one is called Bifidonate. Dairey free. capsules. not the loose powder! ICers tend to use the shortening version - Mega... Bif... its like IC jargon? These are the  strains of pro-biotic happy flora bacteria. I love NAtren probiotics!( Once I tolerated them). I beleive it is part of what kept me from getting the flu last year.  I think Nicole was thinking maybe since you were helped by them taking a little bit  would ease some of the turmoil going on in your intestines? since you are pre- herbs you may be getting some symptoms that you maybe would not be getting if you were on the herbs combined with the list one diet.  I think once you start the diet - its so pure and your body starts the process of cleaning house and things really start getting stirred up. so the diet is a big part of treatment but the herbs/probiotics are pretty core things to getting better and fighting the bad stuff- infections, bacteria, yeast. word of caution... Many of us do not tolerate the probiotics at first. I started off kind of small and if you were going to try them maybe start with Megadolphilus- a tiny bit of the opened capsule stirred into spring water? although I don't want to diagnois or tell you to do something before you are ready for it. use caution! I 'm not sure I would even try them without supervision. But also please don't ever swallow probiotic capsules - always open them into spring water and drink them like that! It doesn't really taste like much of anything. I hope you get some releif soon. sending healing thoughts your way.  Mary

I get that--its really annoying.  I doubt its an ulcer if it just started with the diet--its prob the bottom of your colon, and pain there is fairly common according to Matia.

I've had that MAJORLY for a while. Would have 1-2 hours of wrenching intestinal cramping and pain every morning. It was die-off, it went away. When you get to a point of such illness, very strange things start happening all over your body. Since the symptoms can be scary & confusing & sometimes incredibly strong/painful, the tendency is to assume you have an ulcer, or brain tumor, etc. etc. as many others have been worried about at times. But it always ends up it's the illness manifesting or die-off from the treatment.

I did not have the pain today..So I am guessing from what you are saying it was die off, the pain as moved now down to my lower left abdomen, like my pelvic area.  Good to know this normal, bad to know we all have to endure it.

I would and still do get that horrible horrible pain in my left instestine... It feels like my intestines are slowly being twisted by piano wire... Honestly, I have found that the best thing for me... and this is going to sound crazy... but if you can do it, is exercise.... I think it is a poop stuck there in that last descending loop of the colon and it gets worse around certain times of the month.  Don't worry about it though... It feels freakin awful... Whenever I feel lymphatic pain whether it be in my arm/intestine, etc.. I always find that exercising helps it.  I actually run.. Believe me.. it takes a lot of mental coaching to myself to get out of my physical pain and muster up the courage to do it... I am not suggesting running per se, but maybe perhaps walking briskly if you can handle it.  After every run, I always feel better.  Not everyone feels this way... so try what you feel comfortable with...
