hi ic family,
i was so upset the other day. since i'm off from work, i wanted to focus on cleansing my mind and body by going to all women's health spa. i called to make an appointment and the lady said they were really busy, but there were few spots available the next day. i asked her what was the cancellation policy and she said 4 hrs before the appt. time. so, i told her that i would like to make an appt., but there's a chance that i might have to cancel the appt. due to my medical condition. i asked her if i called 4 hrs before to cancel there's not going to be an issue. she said she understood, but did she really!?! you know what she told me. i couldn't believe my ears. she said, "these ladies work really hard to feed their family and to make a living, that is MEAN of you to cancel." what?!?!...is she kidding me? after i told her i have a medical condition, she said i was being mean. i understand some people just cancel because they didn't feel like coming in or for whatever the reason maybe, but with ic, i have to live day by day...in fact, hr by hr. she didn't understand.
i get upset at people from businesses who just don't get it. seriously, often i feel that everyone should experience ic for one month because this will humble them and appreciate life for itself. there would be more compassionate, patient, kind, and understanding people which would make a world a better place to live in.

Having IC and its struggle matured us in a way that people who have no suffering in life will never understand. I had a similar experience, which is still very sour for me and i won't get into it. All i wanted to say is people make judgements too easy without knowing the facts. And some will still make it even though you try to explain yourself or situation. Why do we care so much what others think? Maybe this is a contributing factor in our emotional state and our IC. We care what others think too much! That worker in her way was trying to make a point to you that had importance to her. Maybe she deals with a lot of people who act careless and rude, and unfortunately she voiced them to you, when in fact, she is in no position to make such statements or make customers feel that way, that's just really bad for that business if they care about return business.
