Hi. For me rhodiola is great, i never had any bad experience with it, it actually helped with my anxiety. Good Luck!!!

I have been on and off Rhodiola for a couple of months and it is wonderful! Instantly helped elevate my mood. It just kind of installs a "bottom floor" in the sadness and really helps keep things in perspective. I have not had any side effects from it!

thanks veronica and fahlmank. i feel better knowing that people are having positive results from this. some have complained that they had difficult time falling asleep, too. i hope i won't experience that tonight, it's bad enough i have to wake up every hr to pee.
fahlmank, sorry i didn't understand where you wrote, "it kinda installs a "bottom floor" in the sadness."
ladies, did you open the capsule and mixed it in with the probiotics? that's how i'm taking this, but i didn't do that with rehmannaie peonie (sp). if you had to take or on rehmannaie peonie, did or are you taking it in capsule form? mmm....just wondering.
thank u.

Hi Junie, Yes! I put the rhodiola in water and take the RP in capsule form.
As for my analogy... All I mean is that if there are different levels of sadness/depression then the lowest form is the "basement", which I don't fall into when I am taking the rhodiola. I stay on the first floor;)
In other words... it doesn't take away sadness or anxiety, but it does not let you get too low or sad. Make sense?
I hope you have a wonderful experience with it- I have not had any troubles falling asleep with it at all,
Katie

I'm on rhodiola and R.P. right now too...I take them all in capsule form.
I am one who notices shortness of breath and difficulty falling asleep.  It's like, just as I begin to drift off, I jolt awake because I need to catch my breath.  Sometimes I even feel like I might throw up, but it's not from a sick stomach.  I don't know what it is, some kind of anxiety or something.  I have been on it for roughly 3 months and it was worse in the beginning and has definitely improved, or maybe I'm just more used to the feeling and don't get as scared.  I do agree that it elevates your mood slightly.  Good luck.

I'm not one of Dr. B's patients, but I follow the posts. The jolting awake is anxiety related, because I experience it too and I'm not taking the drug. I also seem to have anxiety spasms that diminish or go away more when I am not as anxious. I have found that it helps if I listen to self help tapes while falling asleep.

I had my appointment with Dr B yesterday and she started me on rhodiola. I am in agreance with everyone who commented about the bad potpourri taste! Hard to choke down, but my question is did anyone else experience awful dry/cotton mouth when taking it?
