hey all. i was wondering if anyone has problems with hypoglycemia and insulin issues? i think i may have some issues with these b/c i always am very hungry for carbs and get shaky. i forgot to metion this to matia, am waiting for my next appointment, but if anyone has an information on this and if it will go away during the healing process? thanks!
i felt like that when i first
i felt like that when i first started. I even got one of those diabetic testing things because I was crashing so hard. I am much better now I still have crashes but they are getting better. I think it may be a combination of yeast hormones die off toxins ya know we are going through a lot of changes esp in the begining it's natural for the body to have some crashes and be more fatigued.
You probably need protein
Hi Torey,
Yes, when your insulin is screwed... this can cause sugar crashes, causing a craving for more sugar. For anyone who is cutting sugar out of their diet... the first thing that gets recommended is increasing the protein in the diet, which can be difficult for some. It was for me in the beginning.... I hated a lot of protein... now it is all I eat. "They" say you can quench a craving for carbs very quickly by eating protein... Keep chicken soup with lots of veggies on hand. Chicken soup is great b/c it has that comforting factor. Ask Matia..maybe you could handle nuts. I eat a lot of macadamias. Also, avocado will fill you up. Yes... I got shaky too. I eat eggs all the time for breakfast... I make mini quiches consisting of some ground meat... turkey, beef, or chicken... with onions then i add either spinach... which I squeeze all the water out of or brocolii which you need to sautee to get the water out of too... if you don't get the water out, your quiche will be watery... then.. i brown the meet with onions and the veggies.. after cooked, and no more water in the pan... i season with salt, pepper, garlic, etc... i let it cool... then i take about 8 eggs... whisk and then pour about 1/2 full into greased muffin tins... then, i put cooled veggie and meat mix into the eggs.. i bake on 375 for about 30 min... maybe sprinkle with cheese before i put in..then.. after they have cooled, I pop them out and put into a zip loc bag... you have 12 quiches that should last you about a week... i am eating one right now as a snack... mine also has a bit of rice in the mix with the meat so i get some carbs... hope this helps....
