carbs and cloudiness

So, i was wondering about a couple of things:

1. what is your average carb intake in a given day? by that i mean, like how many rice cakes/slices of spelt toast/potatoes, etc. would you say you eat on an average day? i know i'm bad about my portions, but wondering just how bad, so, i wanted to get a basis for comparison. my problem is a. i LOVE carbs, b. I LOVE butter, c. i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE carbs and butter together. and, since my diet is so limited, all things rice, potatoe and spelt related (with butter) have become my happy place - with meals, for snacks, for "dessert!" as i add more into my diet, i think this will be less of an issue, but for now curious where you all are with this.

2. matia always asks about "cloudy urine." now, i know she means urine that has sediment in it, but what are we talking about here? if i really look, i sometimes see more floating particles than other times, but it's not like i see the bad guys pouring out in droves. should i be? do you? especially during those times when i am having more intense die off symptoms, i think i am going to see major amounts of bacteria/sediment excreted, but that doesn't happen. so, wondering if it is actually supposed to happen that way or if i am misinterpreting how the elimination of toxins is supposed to look.

okay, sorry for the randomness of this post, but these were just a couple of things on my mind today.

thanks.

1.I always ask Matia this question :) and she always tells me: carbs should be 1/3 of the whole daily calorie intake. Here is what I figured for myself: if rice cakes happen to be my only snack that day, I look on the box for how many cakes are in 1 serving size. I only allow myself 1 serving size at a time. But if I have it with half of avocado, I can eat an extra one, since it is "balanced out" by a veggie. I try not to have more than 2 carb snacks per day. 2. When you almost finish peeing, look at the last drops of urine hitting the water. I can always tell if they are cloudy. I wasn't sure myself, but I described it to Matia and she confirmed that it is not normal.I hope this helps.

thanks, natasha. that's helpful. i tend to eat 2 rice cakes/slices of spelt toast when i snack and i usually snack 1-2 x per day. often i try to eat a little piece of chicken or something along with it so there is that protein balance. but definitely the carbs outweigh the protein in quantity when snacking. i think for me, it's also during meals that i eat heavier carbs. like i will eat an egg white scramble with a ton of veggies in it for breakfast, but 2 little pieces of spelt toast never seems like enough, so i will usually have a third. oh well, at least it's all yeast free and sugar free. i guess i could be doing worse...as far as the cloudiness, still unsure about that one. never noticed a difference between beginning or end - will have to pay more attention. now, do you notice that difference only during die off periods or just in general it's like that for you?

I actually just started to really pay attention to cloudiness, even though Matia always asked me that question. I always thought, just like you, that I have to see things swimming in there, I've never seen it, so I always thought it was clear. I started looking when I noticed that my urine smelled badly, and with that I saw the drops hitting the water and being kind of cloudy. It all happend during die off, but I have a special case when it is my second time around, and we are now treating stubborn vaginal yeast after pregnancy/breastfeeding, etc. But since I had all the classical die off (brain fog, lethargy, etc.), I would say, yes, cloudiness is related. Now my energy is fully back and I started noticing that the drops hitting the water don't create "clouds"any more.
