Has anyone caught an ITU infection while in Dr Brizman's treatment? I have started bleeding from the bladder and my frequency qand urgency are horrendous as it the pain when passing water, it is so very scary.
Dr Brizman has been brilliant and come straight back to me on email and I have started the meds she has suggested but this is the first time I've had a UTI since the one that started all this off a year ago and I am so scared by the bledding from my bladder and how this is so obviously damaging my bladder even more than it already is.
Has anyone experienced this and how did you cope with this. Any help, suggestions or support you could offer would be really appreciated, I am in a really dark and scary place at the moment.

Hi Lynette, I have traces of blood in my urine all the time, as many IC-ers do. Even noticeable blood doesn't damage the bladder. It is an effect not a cause. My friend who has IC-like symptoms but who's been dealing with absence of natural staphylococcus resistance sees blood in her urine any time staphylococcus, which is everyshere, causes a flare. Her story scared me first, but she is uded to it. I think you will be okay once your uti subsides.
How did you diagnose UTI? Did you use home uti strips?

Lynette, Don't panic, you will get out of this. Just keep in close contact w/ Dr B. Yes, this can happen in treatment (hasn't to me personally), I've heard it many times, and she will get you out of it. I know it's so scary and the last thing you need on top of everything else. Just know many others have gone through this and it will right itself. I remember reading a few who later wrote how they panicked and went to Western drugs and they didn't help, so trust that Dr B will fix this the right way. I hope more people who've had UTIs in treatment write in here to help you further than I can, I know they're out there!

UTI
I have UTI symptoms regularly. Matia's herbs knock it out each time. I used to get test strips. Most of the time it tested negative for nitrates but high for white blood cells. When I went to my doctor, the results were usually negative or borderline. Now, I contact Matia at the first sign of UTI type symptoms and keep the UTI herbs on hand.

I am always terrified to get a UTI. I have not gotten one since being in treatment. But the ones before where horrible. I can honestly say I would rather give birth again then go through a full blown UTI, I would be in misery for a full 24 hours even after going to the urgent care and getting meds.
You are on the right track, I hope you feel better soon! Matia will help it clear up WITHOUT damaging your body, like the antibiotics do. That is awesome. Hang in there.

To all of you. I have defo got an infection, Matia put me on her herbs well the ones that I had but unfortunately they have not kicked it and as I live in the UK so there is not time to get other herbs to me she has advised that I would have to go on antibiotics if things didn't improve. The herbs were helping and in fact last night the strip tested negative for white and red blod cells but positive for nitrates. However I got bad in the night and now am testing really positive again on the red and white blood cells but no nitrates again!! As it is Sunday and I can't get hold of Matia although I have emailed her I have decided to go with her advice and start the antibiotics even though I don't want to because of the damange they will do to my gut but feel I have to knock this infection out.
I am very scared as it did seem that the herbs were working and cannot understand why they are not now. I have lived in fear of getting another UTI since my IC started with a UTI or rather was triggered by one so am probably more freaked by it than normal.
I really feel like my whole body is breaking down at the moment, I never get more than 2 hours sleep, Matia has tried to help me with this but nothing seems to help, so am exhausted all the time and wonder how on earth my body is ever going to get healthy again it just seems to be getting worse and worse at the moment and I feel so very trapped, like I;m in quicksand and can't get out. Sorry to be negative, I know so many have been whwere I am and they still come out the other side.
