Yellow Squash?

Hey question does anyone know the difference between yellow winter squash and summer squash. Can we eat both of them on list one? They are both yellow...haha.

 

let me know if anyone knows the answer..this is kind of a dumb question.

I think summer yellow squash looks like zuchini
 
winter squash has a hard rind like a pumpkin

Okay, so we've confirmed what those two different squashes look like.  Does that mean we can eat both, or just the yellow one that looks like zucchini?

Haha.  I am not sure what the final decision is,  am going to ask Matia :) I will let you know what she says for sure.

Ok- I htought I already posted this but-
winter squash like butternu and acorn is higher in sugar
 
summer squah ia like zucchini so that is what we can eat

Wait I am confused though because winter squash looks more like zuccinii and you find it at the grocery store next to the zuccinii.  Summer squash is only around in the summer. Correct?  Summer squash is more bumpy and is not straight. But yellow winter squash is straight with light dull yellow lines in it and is straight like zuccinni??

OK! haha. thanks Deir! How are you feeling by the way?You inspired me not cheat at all. I am on day twenty of nothing but veggies and meat. :( It is so boring but i realized I am not the only one on stage one for a long period of time so thanks for your help! I hope you are feeling better. You deserve stage two for all of your hard work.

Thanks for clarifying.  I think yellow squash and zucchini will taste nice grilled up with some olive oil.
