Happy New Year Ladies...and Gentlemen (if there are any).
i have an app on my phone called pulse and it tells me all the post related to ic. this one guy posted he had suffered for almost 10 yrs with chronic bladder pain. nothing has worked, but through the internet and finding out what was wrong with him, he NO LONGER has ic. ok now...he said he had problems with his liver, so he got to the root of things and now he doesn't have ic. he had posted more than 5 post with slightly different title to get people's attention...don't know if he's a salesperson, but my ears are always open to hear more news about ic. so, i googled symptoms for liver damage and it coincides with systematic yeast symptoms. as i think back, the last time i had donated blood to red cross, they told me that they had to discard my blood because some enzyme level was a little bit elevated. since then, i've been told my liver isn't working fully, so whenever i would see a new doctor, i told them about my liver. several yrs ago, couple of doctors said my liver was fine...so i'm so confused. Just wondering, do any of you ladies have any liver problems? been told it has too much fat? this is what i read.

i guess it makes sense. if we have toxins in our blood, it's essential for the liver to work 100%.
Yes, I just went and had
Yes, I just went and had blood tests done this week actually. My liver enzymes where elevated also. I think it is due to food and toxins getting into the blood stream and triggering the immune response and then the liver works really hard to get rid of everything toxic and foreign and it goes into overload. My enzymes were elevated but not drastically. My cholesterol was also high along with my thyroid. Also I had this antibody that was called antigladian IGG. It is indicative of Celiac but my IGA was normal. It said that if your IGG is high an the IGA is normal it means your stomach lining is impaired and damage but not necessarily by gluten but an another underlying autoimmune disease. That is when I found information on the leaky gut syndrome. The more I researched it the more I found about liver enzymes, cholesterol levels being elevated, and nutritional deficiencies such as zinc and magnesium. Low levels of Zinc can cause your nails and hair to fall out, and low magnesium levels and cause muscle spasms. All of which I have....So the treatment...exactly similar to Matias. Probiotics and don't eat things that irritate the intestinal lining so it can heal itself and we can get on with our lives symptom free. Sounds easy huh? Wish it was that easy but i was happy to know where my symptoms are coming from and why. This is motivation to stick with it!! They will get better!!
Elevated liver enzymes
Hello Ladies,
This post could not have come at a better time! I have been having a really rough patch finally getting things to settle down a bit with Dr B's help. This disease can make you feel so alone, anxious and depressed, trying to understand what causes all our crazy symptoms! So relieved to know that I am not alone with having elevated liver enzymes. I too just found out that my enzymes are quite high and waiting to get more testing for autoimmune hepatitis among other autoimmune diseases. Thanks for sharing the links! I am constantly reading trying to learn more, as it looks like we are all doing! Wishing everyone good health, or at least some hope and relief from all the craziness in the new year!:)
