I know these are a little corny, but they are helping me. You can consider them as part of the thought-stopping process. When the unhelpful thoughts about health and disease and this process come into my mind, I try to focus on breathing and then finish with these affirmations.
A ICAMA member suggested Louise Hays work around healing. I found her mantras a little corny but they do speak to me:
Bladder and bowel problems indicate:
Anxiety. Holding on to old ideas. Fear of letting go. Being pissed off.
Affirmation: I comfortably and easily release the old and welcome the new in my life. I am safe.
Anxiety indicates: Not trusting the flow and process of life.
Affirmation: I love and approve of myself and trust the process of life. I am safe.

As I learn more about myself, I realize I do have trouble letting go of old/negative thoughts and also sometimes battle with anxiety. I'll definitely use these affirmations.Lauren
