Athlete's foot

Hi all!

I have had athlete's foot, on and off, for almost three years (started around time i got IC). Recently it disappeared for a while, but now it is really really bad. Even cutting into skin. Dr. B said last week during the consult that often skin issues can get worse as the bladder / gut get better. Things are coming out. Do any of you find that, that you've had athlete's foot / other skin issues increase as treatment progressed? Anyone who no longer has athlete's foot?

ThanksxxC

Hi
Im not treating really bc can not stay away from the sugar. But my feet were really bad a couple of months ago! I did epsom salt foot bath for some nights in a row and scrubbed them like crazy! Then I have applied this creme (all natural stuff) and they are really nice again! And I have to tell you, they were awful! Good luck! And trust what Matia say!!!!!!! Its junk coming out! I believe though it is important to try to get them nice so that the body still can use the feet as a place to detox.

Hi CO
You and I are foot sisters :). I have athletes foot on and off on my left foot (and  fungal toenails) for many years. My nails are improving and my althletes foot is sometimes itchy, sometimes not. Wish I could give you more info, but mine is hanging on. Did she say you coul use Bomasense salve, or anything else? (maybe that is not the right thing).

Hi C, sorry to hear you are dealing with athlete's foot as well. I developed athletes foot 5 months ago later in treatment and never had one before, its been on/off. Mainly on my left foot, never spread to the right thankfully, which assures me what matia believes that its internal and less an issue of external infection. Its been ugly, seemed to get better about 2 months ago then i realized the itching started again this time on the bottom of my feet. I am very glad to believe it if its a sign of my bladder get better or some kind of dieoff. Even though it's not the worst of dieoff symptoms for me, (I'd take it to nausea or headaches)it still is uncomfortable, itchy and painful.Have you asked matia what to do? She says it will take a while but will get better. I tried grapeseed extract and  later goldenseal liquid drops with her approval. I am on list 3, beginning list 4. Hope you get some relief soon!

Yes  - it seems my skin issues are getting worse as my bowel and bladder are doing better.  It has been 17 months for me and my bowel is finally to have some consistency.  I have all over body itching - it comes and go - but recently is flaring more than usual.  I just try to keep forward thinking going.  This is die-off - toxins coming out - it has to happen to heal.  You are not alone.

Hi C! Oh yes, the dreaded athletes foot! Just plain awful! I have had this for many years before treatment, but like everyone else always only on one foot! Mine though always the R foot! Started between the toes now has pretty much taken over my whole foot! It gets really bad and almost goes with my menstural cycles! I get all the itching issues to come all at the same time! Not fun! Dr. B seems to tell each person a little different way to treat their itching. I have tried yogurt, very messy and almost made it more itchy, but the coolness really was nice initially. Also have tried a few drops of goldenseal extract in alocohol, which helps quite a bit, but she told me to not use very often. She told me this will not get better until my belly is much better! Hang in there! Sounds like many of us are dealing with this!

No athlete's foot here, but I can say that after about a month of the diet alone I started getting these atrocious rashes on my face that I suspected to be die off symptoms. My bladder has been stable for a few months now so this makes sense with what you were saying.

Hi All,
It is really nice to read all your responses, thanks!!!
Looking at how many of us are dealing with athelete's foot, It just illustrates how the issues we have are systemic, even causing fungal conditon on our feet!
I have written before about topida, it is an antifungal spray, containing all natural products (tea tree, manuka honey etc) and is actually made for vaginal itching. It helps me alot.
Recently i have started to use it on my feet (i used to have athlete's foot only on my right foot, now both.) and with this spray i have made progress, skin is healing and not as itchy. But i don't think it will completely go until i'm much better.
The athlete's foot really flares a few days before i get my period, as does the pain in my feet from plantar fasciitis.
Selichan i'm also on list 3, starting with veg from list 4!! I don't find the diet restrictive now. Once a month i also make a treat with agave, and once a month i make a sugar free banana bread. It didn't bother my bladder when i had it last month.

Hi CO
Did Dr. B say the spray was ok? I wanted to use Manuka honey on my face a while back and Dr. B said no for me, but I was still symptomatic and I know she approves on a case by case...
My plantar fascitis gets worse before my period too!!! and my knee pain comes and goes but can't quite figure that one out. Are you taking Cod liver for your foot pain? She just started me on it because I tweaked my knee. I know cod is a tricky one. Hopefully we can all tolerate it eventually as it seems to have so many health-protective properties.
Hmmm I am on list 3 and list 4 veggies and my birthday is coming up. Can you send the banana bread recipe in case Dr. B says ok? I would love to make it for my girls and IF Dr. B says yes I could have a small piece for my birthday!
