Vitamin D is commonly low in those having chronic inflammatory problems. This is a big problem with people having IC and something I use a lot in treatment where applicable. I thought this was quite interesting in the details which creates yet a different information set to substantiate it's use.

NO! It is not contradictory, however, we do practice from different points of view. This article came accross my desk yesterday and I find it so fascinating as the results of this test back up a lot of what we do here with our patients. However, we came to the conclusions of doing them within the paradigm of CM medicine not WM. I LOVE it when this happens! This is a great read!!

We receive questions all of the time still on the importance of organic foods. When we first started practicing we of course, like everyone else did not understand these concepts to the degree that are understood now. There are so many many articles-this is just a small one I thought I would post.

This is a great article which speaks about the use of probiotics and the effects of them on the eyes. I have found this to be true for the last two decades (under the appropriate circumstances of course) and I also use them (in a specific manner) topically in the eye when there is infection with tremendously positive results. I thought this would be a great article to share with everyone:

I find most of our patients with IC have trouble with weight, but more often than not it is that they are not assimilating their nutrients properly and it is causing weight loss rather than weight gain. There are some patients however with the opposite problem. Working with the Microbiome in our experience is key to re-establishing health and that in turn effects everything including the metabolism.

There are so many perspectives on each condition of the body and how to approach it. I thought this was pretty interesting. If you think you have Lyme you may find this interesting as well.

Did your IC start with recurrent UTIs? This is one way in which IC may start, although, certainly not the only way. It seems that some may be separating these conditions and it is my opinion that they are not at all separate, but in fact different versions of the same thing.
