Many of you know that when I start adding fruits back into the diet, typically, I will add in all of the berries first. The reason for this is that they are so nutritious, but they are also well tolerated in the bladder. In Chinese medicine, we looka t berries as very nourishing to the blood (and therefore the tissues). This is a great articel about berries and a couple other substances and their positive effects on cancer.http://www.naturalnews.com/024326.html

adding in berries
How do you know when you are ready for berries? If you are still showing signs of yeast, does that mean you are not ready and the sugar from the fruit would just feed the yeast and impede progress?
Berries
I usually go by the level of bladder pain and compare that to the evidence of outward appearances of yeast. It is kind of difficult to say exactly. This is something that I decide case by case. There is no specific set of signs and symptoms I go by.
On the subject of food...
Sorry to change the food subject but I'm curious. When you say non omega fed and vegetarian fed eggs you're saying not to eat them. Right? I'm curious about why and also why not extra virgin olive oil. I was also curious about the herbs you use and breast feeding. I'm in the process of scheduling my appointment with you and I breast feed. Will I need to ween my son before I start treatment?
Non Omega Eggs
REally it is ony the non omega fed eggs that is critical. Those eggs are fed lot of flax and the flax oil gets into them and into you and causes massive bladder flaring. It is critical! As for breast feeding and herb use. I take patient by patient individually, so, if a person is breast feedding or anything else, I formulate accordingly!!
eggs and berries
Ok, I have seen the omega fed eggs in the store, but it is the NON omega fed eggs that are full of flax?also, on the berries--does cooking them, say in a muffin mix--change the makeup somehow adn actually increase the sugar content?
Omega
Omega fed eggs are the oens full of flax. And, putting berries in something is fine, if you are allowed the berries. IT only changes the amount of vitamins in them bc you kill some of that potency by cooking.
Thanks...
Thanks, that's good to know and great to hear that weening can be a gradual thing and not a stressfull time for either of us.
I would recomend reading the
I would recomend reading the book Good Calories and Bad Calories, it gives you kind of idea why people are sick the way they are today and why we have so much cancer around us. It also talks about what we should eat to stay healthy (mainly meat and vegetables). The berries is a good example how important they are in people's diet.
