I have been in treatment with Dr. Brizman for four months. I am still struggling but have had some relief. My biggest problem at the moment is constipation. The probiotics and cod liver oil I am on are not helping. Recently my bulgaris was increased to 2 per dose and this caused terrible diarrhea and a flare of all my other symptoms. I was put on chlorella/spirulna and this also caused diarrhea. The magnesium oxide worked for a bit but ended up causing to many spasms and eventually stopped working. I focus and try not to get discouraged with the treatment - but I am really not much better. Has anyone else had this same experience? I just thought that by four months I would be more on a road to recovery. If I don't see more positive results by around 8 months should I think this is not working for me?
constipation and some cheerleading
Don't get discouraged, it's such a slow process, but remember that what you are doing now is supporting your body's healing capacitiies. At such an early stage, your body may be allocating the healing to parts of you that may not feel like they need as much attention as your bladder and intestines. Matia knows what she's doing, but she can't make it happen over night. I am now in month 10 and am REALLY starting to see a big difference after months of wondering if this was really helping. I feel like I have rejoined the human race and am functioning fairly normally at this point. You will get there but it does take some time. I had a big setback at 6 months and then was very up and down for a long time but then one day I started to realize that things were really improving. It happens in such tiny increments that it is hard to see as you go through it and really 4 months is a very short time when you consider how long it took your body to get so out of balance. Hang in there- you're not alone and please feel free to lean on others who are going through the same thing.
I hear you on the constipation. Before treatment with Matia, I was a champion in the #2 department, and now it's a real struggle. As I am sure you've discussed with her, it has to do with heavy-duty detoxing and what she refers to as a "traffic jam" of bad stuff trying to leave the body and getting stuck on the way. I couldn't tolerate the magnesium awhile ago but am fine with it now. I hope you can figure out an herbal combination that works for you. I'm looking forward to having some relief in this area as well...
Best Wishes,
Claire
Please don't be discouraged,
Please don't be discouraged, it may feel for a while that there is no change or improvement, then you realize you don't get urges and frequency as much and little things. It takes time for your body to heal, and you should pay attention to even the smallest improvements. As far as constipation, this is one of the things i still struggle with. I am one year into treatment with Matia. I understand it may take a while to resolve since i have always ignored this issue and thought it's just a woman thing not to go to bathroom for a whole week!!! Matia said 70% of our immune system is in our intestines, so as our bodies get stronger, this should too. I tried magnesium pills at first which worked, but really wanted to see my body naturally accomplish its duties, so i stopped. My problem is, sorry tmi!!, i have to be home. I don't feel comfortable using public bathroom, so i am half to blaim for why i can't go. One thing i realized recently is, if i feel stuck, instead of stressing, i eat some veggie snack, then drink hot water over it. That seems to move my intestines a bit.
Here is a little #2 tip: I
Here is a little #2 tip:
I had all my kids with natural childbirth and one of the things that really helped me was a book by Ina May Gaskin. She said if you make a raspnerry- blowing air through your lips it helps relax all the sphinters in your body. It might help with tense muscles not just in childbirth but for sluggish elimination too
Don't get discouraged. Four
Please don't get discouraged. Four months is not a long time. I read that it takes a month to heal for each year that you were imbalanced. I remember being at four month mark. I learned from a fellow patient that she didn't feel much difference until about 6 months mark.
Constipation etc....
I've been in treatment just over a year now and consitpation is still a problem for me. Celeb - thanks for sharing the expalnation that Matia gave you, it is reassuring.
Magnesium and coffee are the only things that enable me to go and if I go a day without a BM I take a magnesium, cannot bear the thought of waste putrifying inside of me....there enough toxins throughout my body!!!!!
We are all different and respond in different timeframes, it all depends on our causes, how long our bodies have been out of balance and how well they respond to the treatment, some respond really quickly and some take a much longer time, you will see that from the success stories which I have to admit I read over and over and over again!!!
I wish you all well and the peace of mind and heart to enable the patience, endurance and long suffering we all need to deal day by day with this trying disease.
