Migraines and stiff neck/jaw pain

Hi ladies,

Its been some time since I've posted.  I've been experiencing MAJOR daily migraines which start with a stiff neck, jaw and pain in my mouth.  I have been doing very well with my bladder for several weeks, lo and behold, post period, I started getting brownish discharge a week after my period which also causes burning all day long.  I'm 6 months into treatment and progressing better for the most part despite alot of work stress, never get a chance to even take a break, long hours, alot of family illness'.  So, I'm wondering if anyone also has alot of migraines which begin with neck/jaw stiffness?  Matia is aware but I've just been toughing it out.  It seems like she is busier these days and I dont want to bother her.  Any advice?  I'm tempted to go see someone about the neck/jaw stiffness.  I know it starts off with poor sleep.

Which brings me to my neck issue... lack of sleep.  Not so much this week but boy I dont see how I last with no caffeine on about 5 hours of sleep and 10 hour work days, plus being a mom.  How are you all dealling with this?  Ive tried the tapes, covering my eyes so its pitch black.  Its horrible and each night I hate to admit I panic to go to sleep.

Anyhow, aside from these two current issues, I have been very 'normal'.  Periods are normal.  Depression waxes and wanes.  It happens on the weekends but hasnt in about 3 weeks.   Would love your input.

Thank you!

Adriane

I'm sorry that all of this is getting to you - I too have had tremendous headaches and problems sleeping - it does get better. Then, for me, it pops up again in some weird way. While my neck is still stiff it now hurts under my left shoulder blade. Just when I think the discharge has ended, it comes back again -normally after a flare. So, I truly think more junk is coming out.
Hanging in there with you.

pain in my left shoulder blade, too, Denise. It has been so painful at times that I can't sleep, which is difficult, because I can't sleep anyways! So I am with you there, Adriane. I also have pain opening and closing my hands. I spoke to Dr. B about it at my last appointment, which was last week. For me, the pain always hurts worse at night. But I am thankful that my bladder is doing well.
