Brain fog

Hi everyone,

I am writing to ask again if anyone can describe sy,tpms of 'brain fog' to me. One of my most debilitating symptoms is the brain pressure/brain fog (?). It's constant and severe. I have no idea if this is actually brain fog that people talk about or something else. My bladder symptoms/pelvic pain are not horrendous  but the brain pressure is. I also have muscle pressure pressing down on top of my shoulders. Can anyone descrbibe their head pressure stuff so that I can compare? Is the brain stuff a common symptom or is it just me?

Hello,
I think brain fog refers to an inability to focus mentally - which I've experienced on and off.  However, I also experience wierd feelings in my brain.  Sometimes there is this squeezing sensation, or heaviness in the right side of my head - I've also, recently, felt this crazy itching deep inside of my head - which I'm hoping is the space that my brain occupies :)  Then, there has been the weird feeling of my two sides of the brain kind of struggling back and forth kind of a tug of war.  There are many times that I just figure that I'm nuts.

Hi Denise,

Thank for that. I don't have brain fog then. I am lucid BUT I have constant pressure in the brain. It's a physical pressure, like wearing a metal helmet that is slightly warm and that is pressing in. Sounds like a similar physical sensation to the ones you describe but mine is constant. Horrific. Does anyone know what this brain pressure could be?

Is it possible it's your sinuses?  I know that I've had horrible squeezing sensations in those areas.  If you look up sinus locations on line - there's more than you might think

I've never had sinus problems - ever- but will look it up. Thanks for the tip.

Vin- that sounds absolutely horrendous. Has this been there all along? Or did it atart with the treatment?

I am thinking of you.

Hi Vin 43, I'll try to describe what I experience with the brain fog. It seems like this is not a symptom that all of us have. My head feels very heavy & full & I feel very "spacy" or like things are happening in a dream. I have memory, concentration & focus problems & sometimes have some difficulty articulating what I want to say. My head feels kinda like its full of fluid at times. I did not connect the brain fog symptoms to the I C until I started treatment with Dr B. I've had IC ( the bladder symptoms) for about 16 yrs but many of the brain symptoms started before that. Ive gone thru both traditional & nontraditional treatments but did not see any improvement with any of them. I've been told I may have Lyme, Lupus or MS. I started treatment with Dr B almost 10 months ago. Many of my symptoms have improved during that time. My bladder discomfort (can't really call it pain anymore) is about a 1-3. I can go several hrs without having to go. I still get up a few times at night but my sleep is much improved so its not as disruptive as it used to be. When I started treatment I had alot of depression & anxiety & was very tired all of the time. Those symptoms are much improved. Not gone completely, but definitely better. I also no longer have that "sick" feeling that I've had for the last several yrs. I don't post much but since it doesn't seem like many people have major issues with brain fog, I wanted you to know that you are not alone. Hang in there. We are on the path to healing. Hugs

Thanks everyone. Deir - it is horrendous. It's not linked to treatment because it started as soon as this thing 'hit' again. It does not feel like Ic at all to me - this is why I keep on asking if this is IC-related. It just feels 'wrong'. My whole body feels 'wrong', as I have so many symptoms. I had bladder issues before but up until 9 months ago, when this thing struck again, I was a university lecturer so you can imagine that I've NEVEr had any issues with brain fog, concentration, focus, etc.. This, whatever I have now, is just wrong and feels awful. I have never had a headache in my life - ever.

sorry. This must be just awful. I know my daughter has described having cotton in her brain, and the feeling of it pushing on the inside was how she described it. I have not had that symptom, but I do have left shoulder pain. I cannot lift my arm all the way up anymore, and getting dressed is somewhat painful. It was radiating down into my arm, and then it began to happen on the right side as well until Dr. B changed my protocol a bit. I still have the left shoulder pain though. And my hands always ache when I first start moving them in the morning. It's like I have arthritis or something, and I feel quite rickety until I get moving around somewhat. But I do believe it will get better as time goes on.

I also believe you are in the right place, Vin, to get healed. Keep hanging in there. I am sure praying for you and send a big hug to you.
