Bladder inflamed

I am going thru such a difficult time. My computer is down for weeks now, and I have inflamed my bladder by using an ointment for my aching arm muscles. I used it only 4 days but the relief was not worth this horrible pain I have brought on. I have to use my son's I phone when he is here or through a friend over the phone to communicate with Dr. B. I go from the toilet to the bath. I sleep if I am lucky 3 or 4 hrs a night. It is almost a week now and this is the worse flare I have ever experienced. I miss the support of you all so much. I am typing this on my son's phone while in the bath. Thank goodness it is waterproof. :) I love you all. I have been praying for you when I am up all night.

to mention that Dr. B has been absolutely wonderful in getting me thru this. It just tears me up with thankfulness that I have such an incredible woman for my dr. I am so thankful to God for bringing me here. I love Dr. B and pray for her as well.

Mrs. A I'm so sorry to hear you're going through such a rough spell (and doing it without internet access)!  It's so difficult when it goes on for days on end.  The bath is the best place to hang out during a tough time, I hope it's helping a little.  I think the most difficult thing in a flare that lasts awhile is the anxiety that you're going back to square one- and I'm sure you're not!  But in the moment it can be such a frightening feeling.  Matia said to me once to think of flares like UTIs, they'll come and go and you'll get back to your baseline, not thrown back to the beginning.

I have had some of my worst flares while in treatment with Matia, and after they pass I usually find my bladder is more resilient than before the flare.  I hope that you pull through this quickly.  You're such an encouraging, kind-hearted presence on the forum, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we're sending good vibes your way!

I am so sorry - I just went through my first flair in nearly a year.  It doesn't sound like as bad as yours - but I do so feel for you.  Other than the bath, I laid on the couch, heating pad on lower back, legs up on this ottoman cube, that was also on the couch, with an additional heating pad on my stomach. It did seem to help.  What also helped me - maybe run it by Dr. B?  Was taking two tennis balls, put into a sock and tied, and put under my lower back while I laid on the floor - I would kind of rock side to side loosening up the pelvis/groin area.  I would also sit on the couch, legs spread, and bend over my crouch - it loosened the muscles of the legs that connect into your pubic area - this also helped immensely.
Hang in there, we all care about you.

Dearest Mrs. A, I am so sorry to hear you are having such a bad flare :( Please hang in there...as bad as it seems now, it'll get better slowly and you'll have sunny days again. You are so lovely, caring and sweet, and always present for everyone on this forum. I am sending you warm thoughts and lots of hugs. It's a shame a simple ointment brought this on, it's proof how much toxic ingredients products we used to use have, now that our bodies react to the littlest of it...Lots of love

all so much for your kind words. I am still struggling today. Now I have a sore throat added. I feel I am making progress but it sure is slow going. I took an Azo Uti test strip and it came out the darkest for a bladder infection a couple of days ago. Dr.B is treating me for it all. I do appreciate all your loving support so much. :)

ah - if you have a straight-up infection, that would explain the flare. I haven't had a uti during treatment but I gather dr b has good success in treating them without having to resort to antibiotics. Please let us know how you're doing! Also of course if it is a uti try to up your water intake to flush things through. Thinking of you, much love xxxxxx

all so much for your help and encouragement. I think I am finally starting to pull out of this rough patch. It has been one of my worse since I got IC. I am not fully recovered yet but at least functional. Thank you all again for your loving support. You all are the best!

hi Mrs. A,
I'm glad you're feeling a little better.  I've thought of you often this week and it's a relief to know that things are improving.  Sorry again that you've had to go through such a difficult spell!

fighting this bladder infection/flare. It's been two weeks now today, and I really botched myself up with that linament. If you are tempted to try something like that, remember me and don't do it! I really appreciate all of you so much, even though I can't post as often as I used to since my computer is still down. I hope to have it back some day...ha!

Tinkerbell, thank you for asking about my daughter. :) She is doing better, but still struggling with frequency. She is on list 2, and most of the things on list 3 cause her frequency. But she is improving and doesn't have the dizziness and nausea anymore. Yeah! I hope you are doing well and improving, too!
