How do you know if you have a UTI or IC sometimes, if you get a UTI? I'm experiencing something hat feels different and like one, but don't really know. Going to doctor tidy. Don't want o take antibiotics if it is one, but how would you treaty it? What does Dr. B do?
UTI or IC
Hi me,
I can only tell you what I did before seeing Dr B. - I would go to the doctor, refuse the antibiotics until the urine culture came back - most of the time it was negative. As for what Dr. B uses - it so varies from patient to patient depending on the symptoms. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help.
I hope you feel better soon.
Help my mind
I have been steadily improving for almost a year, and old see even more signs of improvement lately. I was able to eat a good variety of things, and I have been able o pee normally since my pelvic loot dysfunction had often better. Then today, I started feeling what felt like a UTI. It was different because in the past my urgency came from the inflamation and pressure on my bladder. I don't have a lot of pressure now. It mostly went away. But today I felt this new sensation o urgency without pressure an thought it was an infection. I bought sme test strips and the showed positive, bu I wen o two doctors and they didn't see an infection. Tonight I'm scared and depressed because his seems new and strange. I'm confused and very sad and discouraged since I though I was doing well. I didn't eat anything different than I normally have either. And I wasn't really nervous so I don't think it was brought on by my nerves. I'm scared. I was hoping the doctor I saw today could refer me to a counselor or had someone in her office who counsels people with this, but they dont seem to have others in place for that. I just wonder why this flare happened, if it's neurological? I get so exhausted dealing with this very day. The anxiety about it is the worse. I feel like I may be getting worse, when I thought for so long I was steadily getting better.
Dear Me
I too had a flair and questionable uti a couple of weeks ago - this is after two years of not having this happen. So, from my experience, this isn't unusual.
Take Care,
