I just wanted to say how thankful I am for having found Matia! I don't know how she does it. It must be so hard to do what she does. She is such a special person! I don't know how I would deal with all these sick people that need so much help everyday. And she has her own 2 kids that she has to take care of on top of all of us!.... Oh man, it must be hard. She has to deal with some really sick and stressed out patients..... I know cuz I used to be one of them.... Now that I am doing better, I don't feel so stressed out, and sick like I used to. I just have so much gratitude for her. I thank God that I found her, and that I am finally getting better.
My one year treatment, is on September 15, 2012.... and I am sooooooo much better already!. I just deal with occassional die-off. But I would say that I feel 75% better. I know I still have some bugs that need to be cleaned out, and they are still coming out slowly and gradually. I just keep taking my protocol like I 'm supposed to, and everyday I get better and better. I am already on list 4, which is amazing!!!!
Calieve, I am
so thankful, too, for Matia! I had an appointment yesterday with her, and I told her that I can't imagine how I could manage IC without her. I am so thankful to God for her compassion, her wisdom, and her generous giving of her time with her patients. I am 8 months into treatment and doing so much better. I told her how scared I was on my recent flare that lasted over two weeks. It was absolutely amazing to have her there walking me through it all. I feel sometimes like I am her student. I love, love, love my appointments with her. I get so excited to ask her more questions to learn better how to be healthy and strong, which in turn is helping my family for the better as well. I, too, am on list 4. I would never have believed it when I first started. I couldn't even tolerate butter on list 1. Now I can eat butter, and it's still amazes me!
So when you have a flare, you
So when you have a flare, you don't have to go back to list 1?
I love to read stories of
I love to read stories of hope and positivity since I have been so down lately. Thank you for sharing.
I think everyone
has their own way of dealing with flares, if they unfortunately experience them. For myself, I turn to the foods that I know are not problematic for me. I especially find protein to be of help during a flare. In this last flare I ate a lot of broccoli, chicken, and rice. Which interestingly enough is list one! :)
I couldn't agree with you
I couldn't agree with you more Calieve and Mrs A. :) We are so blessed to have her through such a complicated condition. Her dedication, sweetness alone, her persistence to make her patients well again is impossible to find. My husband says i godify (is that a word?) her, and yes if there was a religion she lead, i'd be first to jump in. :) I know no one is perfect, but she is working so hard to individually help find the right path for us all. God bless her.
Maybe we should all email her
Maybe we should all email her what we posted.... Everyone needs to hear the positive things that people say about them.... I am just so afraid to email her, because I know she is so busy. But maybe she wouldn't mind after she reads it.
