Mine started afer using a vibrator. Then I went crazy with anxiety and made everything worse, I think. I know some people experience this after sex, giving birth, having hysterectimes and riding bikes, so I wondered if anyone thought there's was initially caused by nerve damage.
Me-
You did NOT get ic from using a vibrator. I assure you!!! Matia's treatment is about lifestlye things--and never has she asked us about those. Its more eating sugar and diet coke that did you in girl.
I want to believe that, but I have Googled where other people had the same experience I had. I wonder if I have nerve entrapment or something sometimes that started this. Then, like I said, I went crazy about it when they told me I might have IC, and the pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction from clenching my pelvic floor muscles started.
im sorry, but there is NO WAY that this gave you ic. you're entitiled your thoughts, but it is likely related to poor dietary habits. my friend got ic after an abortion, but this does not mean that the abortion gave her ic. i suggest you look into any textbook on statistics or epidemiology to understand what a "cause" is. in the meantime, i suggest you not beat yourself up for having used a vibrator. in fact, if that IS what spurred your ic, tcm would say "ok, what was the imbalance which caused her body to react that way to external stimulus.
I've done a lot of research, and trauma can cause frequent urination. Catherine Simone's IC started after a surgery, maybe a hysterectomy. There are lots of cases of that. Stress compounds it. Not saying this is the case with everyone, but I think it is with some. Hope you are right because I'd feel better thinking that wasn't the cause and that I don't have nerve entrapment.
I get much worse with orgasm. The better the orgasm- the worse I get. It is so depressing! Sigh...... Anyway- for me, it is the lymph getting moving from the muscle contraction and when that gets moving, it stirs up all the bacteria etc and causes symptms. (It isn't exactly that but sort of)
One of tthings I love about Dr B's treatment is that it is truly holistic like RSN said. Why do theses everyday normal things set our bodies off. That is thequestion.
Hi Me
What do you mean by nerve damage? I think my IC started very young, body got out of balance, and western meds treated symptoms and not the cause.
