Hi Ladies,

I am looking to replace my yeast free/sugar free Ener-G bread with another bread.... perhaps NOT rice based;) I am on the end of list 3 and would like recommendation for breads you all use. I see that the recommendation is a Pacific Bakery Bread... how you used that? Does one normally find it at Whole Foods?

Thanks,

Katie

Hi Fahlmark,
I used to get Pacific Bakery breads from Whole Foods, mainly spelt and some Kamut. However, PB recently closed business. I started ordering French Meadows Brand Organic Spelt bread from Sprouts. It's cheaper than Pacific Bakery and the slices are bigger, thicker. It holds together better as a sandwich bread not as crumply. It has no yeast or sugar in it, but the only downside is that French Meadows is not an all yeast free company like PB was. However, Matia ok'ed it when i sent her the ingredients. If you order by the case, you get a discount, and can just throw the extras to the freezer.

If you don't mind making it yourself. The recipe is super simple. Prep is about 5 minutes.

I found another delicious yeast free, sugar free spelt bread at my local
co- op. it is so much tastier & the texture is softer than French Meadows. It is called O Bread Bakery. Shelburne Vermont. It is Whole Spelt, water & sea salt & it is Organic.

Hope you can try it... It is great
