Starting Protocol and basement renovation?--Please advise!!

I plan to ask Dr. Brizman about this as well. My husband I I have had a dream of finishing out our basement to have a family room and some other extra rooms.

We are all set to pay for our permit (which would expire 6 months after we open it). The area would be completely sealed to the rest of our house. We would not have workers inside our main floors at all. We would not be doing any work ourselves except picking a few light fixtures and paint colors, etc...

I am tempted to do it because we really want it done for our family, but part of me thinks it is a bad idea since I do not know what is in store for me with my recovery and I imagine it will be very slow.

Most days now I can function: Run errands, pick-up kids, cook dinner. I am a bit tired with less sleep but hanging in. Just mild bladder pain all day and urgency 1x per hour (sometimes can go longer mid-day).

I welcome any thoughts. It would be nice for our kids but I imagine it could wait? Of course my husband really wants to start now.

It might be nice to have a project to take your mind off of things. I personally like to keep myself busy and engaged in things, but it's all personal preference :)

I was thinking the same thing! It will be loud here but I can nap at my neighbors and also do my mediation there :)
