Peppermint Tea?

Hi everyone,

Quick question on teas. I'm on list 2. I know it doesn't have peppermint tea in there as ok but I thought I'd give it a try today as it seems like something that would be ok to drink if green and chamomile teas and black coffee are ok. I'm now feeling a teensy bit flarey with some frequency and wondering if anyone knows what the deal with peppermint tea is? Is it known for flaring IC? I can drink black coffee and it doesn't flare me up at all but strangely enough I seem to be reacting to peppermint tea! I would have thought it would have been the opposite.

About this at my appointment last week and was given a big NO on peppermint tea. I'm list 2 and maybe it's different for others but she told me no (I didn't really ask why, there's never enough time!) :)

I can now eat almost anything that I want - avoiding the long term absolutely NO ones. Even Jalapenos don't bother me. However, I still can't drink green tea - Go figure. When I tell Dr. B this - she isnt' surprised at all - says something about the kind of IC that I have - mind boggling.
