Hello everyone I hope you're feeling and doing well.

I recenty started on list 4 and have some food quetions.  Dr. B says I can now have some regular bread, so long as it's low in sugar. Regular bread does have some yeast in it, does that mean we can have some yeast now?  I'd like to have some chicken broth with yeast extract in it? Would that be alright?  Also, because I can now have some regular bread, does that mean I can have some regular flour in recipes and regular crackers?

This is confusing and I don't want to let me mysef go too far too fast!

Thanks for your help.

Lauren

Dr. B told me no chicken stock till list 5. Have you tried Alvarado Street Bakery sprouted bread? No added sugar. They make great english muffins too and made from sprouted grain instead of ground flour which is better for blood sugar. This is the bread I feed my family. Geez I wish I was on list 4 :)

I too am on list 4. I do fine with vegs and even fruit but I find it hard to change in some things. I still use olive oil and fry using it at times which is bad . Bread is hard as I never had much of a problem with white unbleached flour so I was allowed even on list 2 to have half white / spelt or kamit. So I live in Canada so I always tend to make all my food no whole foods etc. and lots of products that are suggested i can't find.and I am not shipping food if I don't have to. But matia said something like all whole wheat now. I'm wondering in baked goods can I use bran, I imagine I can't use flax seed . Her latest recipe uses amaranth flour . I have bread that I make with small amt of agava and half whole wheat half white with yeast twice a week and a sweet with agava 2-3 times a mos so far I don't want to over due it either. I would love to have more ideas I will have to ask at next appt.have no idea about crackers.  As i once asked here and a brand was suggested but I would have to ship here.in We should compare notes as we learn more must be lots of others who have suggestions. I thought we could use imagine chicken broth . I make my own..

... for the feedback guys. It was easy to be strict when the limits of what I could eat were very clear. Now, when things are relaxing a little, I'm actually finding it a little harder not to push the limits.
Jeannie, where in Canada are you?  I'm in Toronto, so I'm very grateful for stores like Whole Foods and The Big Carrot that carry pretty much all the brands.  It must be really difficult to in a place where you really have to make everything yourself.  This diet is hard enough!
