Once again I wrote a whole letter that got lost!
I was writing about how I'm having roller coaster days. One bad (urinary frequency of every 1/2 hour) to one good day ( urinary frequency every 4-5 hours and 16-18 ounces each time). I have been on diet for 4 weeks and doing really well for the past 3 weeks as far as being religious.  Have the right olive oil finally and all my personal care products except my shampoo and conditioner (getting next week).
Is it a good sign to at least be having the good days?  I am gaining weight and am up to 118-120 pounds (I am 5'7"). I have been sleeping 4-5 hours straight and sleep a total of 6-7 hours a night.
Is it common to have these roller coaster days?  Does it steadily get better?  Do the herbs and probiotics move things along more quickly?  Is it a good sign that some things have improved on the diet alone?  I'm guessing there isn't really any good answers with this condition as it doesn't seem ti have a common progression of healing for everyone?  Has anyone had similar experiences to mine and improved well over time? I'm a little worried that because I keep having the bad days I will never improve.

Hi Everyone,
I am so  sorry. I really think I am losing my mind. I just reread a posting I made pretty much identical to this one a day ago.
Its a little scary for me because not only is my mind filled with concern for my daughter, but I have to make decisions regarding another surgery and I have to deal with healing from IC on top of everything. My mind just keeps spinning.  I feel I can not rest because so many things need to be taken care of and carefully decided upon.

Sometimes I feel I could be dangerous behind the wheel of a car because I am not always present and paying attention. I just can't turn off my mind. I know meditation is good for these things but I feel I can not sit too well anymore and I certainly can not focus at all.  I will certainly be a challenge for Dr Brizman.

Anyway, please forgive me wasting precious space on this forum.  I will try to be less repetitive in future postings.

Sue

Hi- Have you tried meditating even for a very short time? I find that if I set my timer for 4 minutes only, it helps and I often can do more (if the kids aren't there!) Also there is walking meditaitn where you just take very slow deliberate steps focusing oin each step completely.

BTW_ yes- I have a total rollercoaster case. it is preferable to constant misery but I know it can make you nuts!

Okay Deir,

I will give meditation my best shot this week as you recommended.  I have a tape and someone recently recommended a lovely one online.  I'll let you know how it works!

Thanks for encouraging me in the right direction.
