Someone sent me this clip and, while it isnt directly related to IC, I do think it is worth watching because it illustrates the struggle for wellness and a bit of the contrast between tradtitional thinking and alternative thinking.
I am not suggesting that any of you take the supplements in the video, but rather look at it as an example of someone's journey and triumph over her very difficult obstacle.
I had a patient today tell me, she really sees how this whole experience changed her i a very positive way and her family and how they see the world and how they view health. What a gift to see someone come full circle.
Anyway, this is a great clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLjgBLwH3Wc&feature=share

Amazing
Thank you for this, it is inspiring and reinforces the need and desire to rise above the cynicism that surounds so many of us who are striving to eat for our health and who can be pulled low in our darker moments by the negativity of those around us who are still blind to the horrors of the western way of eating.
I think I will watch this often to remind myself that it doesn't matter if people think I am mad for eating the way I do, it is my choice and it is the right one!
You are so right!
My mother, like everyone else's used to say, "would you jump off a bridge just because everyone else was?" It's the same thing here. It is better to be the one that leads, not the one who follows. To not be initmidated by other's choices. Just because everyone is doing it, does not make it wise!
