More die-off on same protocol?

Hey ladies :)

I have been on the same regimen for about five weeks....It took me about 8 or 9 days to get used to the protocol from die off, then I felt pretty darn allright for 3 or 4 weeks...now all of  a sudden, frequency, more bubbles in urine, pain, etc...

What's going on? I e-mailed Mattia but I am wondering if it's possible to have another bout of die off while on the same regimen?  I thought it mainly happened when you are supposed to change your protocol or when you are getting used to a new one....

Would love your thoughts!
Hugs to all

no I believe you could absolutely have more die off on the same regime. Sounds "normal" to me! lol Isn't everythign "normal"

completely normal. Did you read Bruce Fife's book: The Healing Crisis?
Having said that, if things change, I almost always tell Dr. Brizman, because she has helped with small protocol changes that make a big difference. Sometimes you can tolerate something for a while, and then the bladder pain will increase suddenly, after a dose. This has been my experience, and then I need to take out something for a while, so do check if you have increased bladder pain that is not tolerable suddenly. The ony time I don't email her with big changes, is ovulation. I know when I am ovulating, and I know things are going to be really icky for a few days. At least for now...

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Great, thanks ladies, I was  starting to feel like an oddball...I never know if I should stick something out or ask for help...I emailed Mattia and we maybe switching stuff around a bit. After much recommendation , I finally ordered "The Healing Crisis" by Bruce Fife and I'm psyched to read it !!!

Hi! I hate to say this but I STILL don't know when to stick it out or not. AFter all this time, one of the things I have concluded is that maybe I emailed her too quickly. The herbs made me worse right away so I was scared and w ould email her every time it increased. Hindsiight is 20/20 but in my opinion now, I wish I had just waited things out more and pushed through. We just changed something recently and I was so grateful because she told me to try it for a week and then email. That gives me some framework and the confidence to push thorugh even if it isn't great. SO, in general unless it gets much worse, I vote for trying something for 5 days or a week and seeing if your body stabilizes. I wish someone had given me that advice. My case was weird because when I went to her, I had almost all the symptoms under control - LA was like a minivacation for me and then supps got everything stirred up so I was emailing her constantly in the beginning-  never sure if something was "right" Now I try to wait at least 6 days. Usually much longer.

Deir, THANK YOU! I really, really think Dr. Brizman should write a blog post on this. She has posted regarding pushing through, but in that blog post she was making the distinction between bladder pain (maybe don't push as much) and other types of die off (push through). I think you are so, so, so right about the insight you are having about your own treatment. This may really help you push forward (and may help others too!)
Sometimes our body really needs something, but has to adjust to it! Or can tolerate it for a while, and then we need to back off.
I think I have sometimes been really scared to add things in but in the last 3 months I have asked for more parameters when trying something new. If my symptoms are really concerning, I tell her but I also suggest to her that I will stick with it if she thinks I should. This has enabled me to add in two new things to my protocol
I agree that you should try something for a number of days. I also think the body reacts very differently with different herbs/supplements. With bifido, for example, I let her know of my symptoms, and she told me to stop for 1 day, or 3 days, and then introduce again. With vitamin D, for examlple, I tried it early in treatment and I had to stop for weeks at a time to give my body a break.
It is amazing that my body has the ability to kind of forget how bad the pain and discomfort  was when I first became symptomatic, so that when it comes back, even at a lesser level, it is perceived as nearly intolerable to me. I am not suggesting that people are not having really challenging pain at times during treatment. I have just noticed that as I feel better, my tolerance to any pain has shifted in some way.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Very detailed posts ...
the thing that I am ALWAYS confused with and would love an answer for, is....
If we have increased bladder pain , should I still wait a couple days to test/get used to it?
Or is the waiting just for other die off symptoms non bladder related....?

To be honest, I mainly have bladder pain and have had few other kind of die off symptoms...
I as well was pretty allright in L.A Deir, and always feel I can control my symptoms with diet forever and no supplements, but the supplements really stir stuff up...I hope they're supposed to be stirred up...

I was on 1 whole mega, 4 RP, and she just told me that I could go down to 1/2 mega and add in Siberian ginseng, and still 4 RP...

I am also wondering : if the pain is still there ( but perhaps not as big...but definitely still there), should I still be trying to stick it out, or am I supposed to IMMEDIATELY feel better upon my protocol change?

 Lol , ugh is right...
It's crazy, I always feel like I have pain when adding in new supps so maybe I'll just ride it out for a few days and see if it does make it feel better.  The pain is less than when I had the other protocol ( I think...?) , but can never be sure right away!
If it's supposed to be fixing the issue, wouldn't it feel better RIGHT away though?

Yeesh, I think most of the stress comes from me trying to have control over it , when I should just release control :)

I forget where I read this, but Iove this saying- you gain control when you realize that you have none...

THIS IS ALWAYS MY QUESTION AND  I still don't know the answer!! LOL BUt for me, I had little to no typical die off so it is all about the bladder/vaginal stuff. One time she told me to give it 5 days and i did and then after 5 days I went into my longest ever good span. That is what makes me feel liek I should let things ride more.

I have talked to Dr. B about this issue and she told me that in general, I should give a new protocol 3 doses before I let her know how it is affecting me.  I take 6 doses per day, so I don't know if that would apply to everyone.

I don't always wait until I've taken 3 doses.  If it's obviously causing more pain, I let her know after the 1st dose and as others do, I ask her if I should ride it out or not.  I think letting her know whether or not you can tolerate the pain is important as well.  And now that the email policy is that they are looking at emails only during work hours, when possible I try new protocols during that time.  Of course, that's not always possible though and it really depends on the situation and why she is making the change.
