I wrote in an earlier post that my protocol had changed to add in one drop of SF722. It arrived in the mail today and I took it with two doses. Then the pain went way up. This is so frustrating!
My cousin who has been through this treatment and got better told me that even a bad reaction is good because it's a reaction. I'm trying to keep that in mind tonight, but I am really feeling sad. I was supposed to go to my son's band concert tonight. I should have waited until tomorrow to try the new supplement, but I had such high hopes. Now I'm really disappointed.

Ugh! So frustrating! I have had that happen with the bif and the cod. But things did settle down. Can you drink extra water and see if things calm down even slightly after a few hours? Sometimes I notice a slight decrease in discomfort after I have processed the dose, if that makes any sense? I really do think it is a good sign too. Is it increased bladder pain, frequency? What is the increase? I hate it because I have fairly mild die off (although I have been having some lately) and I am more likely to feel something in my bladder. Ugh. Hang in there. Email Dr. B. Hopefully she can encourage you!!
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
Hey Girls,
Hey Girls,
Thanks so much for your replies!
Things have calmed down a tad, but I'm still struggling with increased pain. I'm doing my normal pain-relief stuff and it is helping. I do try to drink a bit more water when it gets like this and it helps, especially warm water. I have one of those electric kettles that boils water in a couple minutes. I just let it heat up the water for about a minute and it's perfect. It's more healthy than using the microwave.
Even though the tiny changes in my protocol bring more pain, they also do good things like bring on more die off, produce better urine flow, give me more energy, produce better bowel movements, etc. I think it's just a matter of giving my body more time to heal and then all these things that help won't bring on so much pain anymore. What do you guys think? Does this sound reasonable or is it wishful thinking? Have any of you experienced this?
Mimi, I experience the exact same thing with low die off symptoms, but high bladder pain reaction. At different points in treatment, I've had some pretty significant die off, but lately my main symptom other than bladder/vv burning is mouth burning. It's like the nerves on the inside of my mouth are inflamed. It doesn't hurt when I eat or anything, it's just a sensation that comes and goes at will.
Ally, thank you for your positive thoughts. I am trying to be optimistic about what things will look like a year from now. I guess I'm getting over the disappointment that I thought I would be there already after two years. But I have to remember where I've been and that my body has its own timetable. I am doing everything I know to do to get better and it's going to take as long as it takes. It's hard to balance keeping my hopes up and being content with what is. Nevertheless, I need people like you in my life that give me a boost of hope and a ray of sunshine, so thank you!
I talked to my son this morning about his concert and he said it went really well. He is such a great kid (actually he is 18, so not quite a kid anymore), and I'm so proud of him!
Dr. B made another change in my protocol, so hopefully this will help things. :)
Thanks Deirdre! Hugs back!
