Hello there,
I have been doing well at 8 months in, A lot of very comfortable, pain free weeks except for ovulation. It's been heaven and that's what I would love to be sharing here. But then Monday afternoon I got a pap smear. Since the next morning, yesterday morning, I have been in a nasty flare that's seems even worse today. Haven't felt this for a long while. I even asked him to use jojoba, wear vinyl gloves, and be gentle. Even with all that I am really in serious discomfort. I feel like someone struck a match in there, ya know? Has anyone else experienced this? Would love to know if you have and how long it took to resolve...
Much love to ALL
Hi Julie,
Hi Julie,
This has happened to me, too. And I know it has happened to Christina - she posted on it awhile back. It took me probably a week to get back to my old baseline. Hang in there. It totally stinks but it's not forever! xo
Oy vey. Thanks Claire,
Oy vey. Thanks Claire, breathing through it.

I pretty much decided not to
I pretty much decided not to get pap smears ever. I guess it could be a risk that i wouldn't find out something but I am way too scared to have anyone do anything vaginally.
BTW- it soundsliek youa re doing really well so I am sure this will resolve soon
Deirdre,
Deirdre,
I am holding off on pap smears also until I feel like I can handle one. Mine have always been normal. :)
Mine have been normal too. I
Mine have been normal too. I wonder if they are even necessary. I actually haven't even thought about it other than to think, "no way"
I know the western medical
I know the western medical standard for Pap smears if history of bing normal is every 3 years, until you hit 65 then no more!
Hi Julie! Yes, like Claire
Hi Julie! Yes, like Claire said I had an awful flare after my most recent all smear and again with a vaginal US. It is awful fire burning flares. We have so much inflammation that it sets off a flare. Mine took a couple weeks to settle, but it will get better! Glad you have been feeling good otherwise, that is great!!! Hang in there!
Mine wer NOT always normal,
Mine wer NOT always normal, but have had over 10 years of normal so not planning on having one till DONE WITH tx. So sorry. But you are VERY lucky to be doing so well at 8 months so I am sure you will be back to baseline soon.
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
Thanks guys. Definitely
Thanks guys. Definitely getting back to normal. The first 48 hours were no fun, but now doing ok.
