Recovering from antiobiotics

Hi all, wondered if anyone had any advice to help restore balance after antiobotic treatment.  I had to take them for a dental problem which wouldnt go away but of course I've been stripped of what was left of my good bacteria and my bladder is back to being rubbish again.

Probiotics seem the obvious choice...

Just a after-though, when they push oral antibiotics for dental problems, I ask for oral rinse or gel. Works pretty good.
As to restoring balance, all the regular things: Natren probiotics, organic yoghurt, later may be fermented vegetables.

Hi!
I gather that you are not in treatment at ICAMA? Can you find a local TCM doctor that could give you alternatives to antibiotics so that you can save them for life and death next time? Agree that you have to do probiotics and avoid sugar and alchohol and other irritating foods. But this whole program is geared towards restoring normal flora. You will want to follow the advice you have previously gotten here and give yourself time to heal. I am sure you will get back on track!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Thanks peeps.  I was loathed to take antiobiotics, just kept going back to the dentist but they wouldn't continue my treatment until I'd taken them.  I tried rinsing with goldenseal, dabbing oregano oil on for the pain but had to resort to painkillers which aren't good either.  Was caught between a rock and a hard place!
