Hello everyone, I posted on here a few months ago about being pregnant. In any case I am now 15 weeks along and if anything things have gotten worse. My only symptom is urinary urgency, now I know being pregnant can make things worse but I was hoping and told that often in the 2nd trimester some women get some relief. My urgency is so severe especially at night I am often literally just sitting on the toilet and don't sleep. I am on blood pressure medication because my blood pressure since being pregnant has become very high. I have read that some people with high blood pressure can also have issues with their kidneys like severe urgency etc. Now I know that most likely this is due to the pregnancy but as many of you know when things get bad you start to wonder and worry if something else if going on. In any case I am just having a really hard time right now and diet is not helping with the urgency in the slightest. Any thoughts or opinions are greatly appreciated! thanks :)

Hi Hazymarie! I don't have experience with pregnancy, but history with some kidney issues. If you are feeling anxious about your blood pressure and kidneys I would go get things checked out so a) if there is something wrong you know what is going on and can treatment earlier rather then when it's too late and b) just to help you relax a little more, your body is going through so many changes the last thing you need to be doing is putting more stress on yourself by worrying. A simple blood test can check your creatnine levels and eGFR. Hang in there, that sounds really tough! Much live and prayers for you!

Hazymarie are you in treatment? I am so sorry you are going through this. I hope you are able to rest during the day. I know of several people that had severe hyperemisis during prg which meant their quality of life was very, very low during gestation. Then all was much better post partum. I know you can get through this. Perhaps some relaxation cds to even keep near you at night. Some headphones to get you into a relaxed state after a void just to help you have a bit of relaxation. Some mindfullness practice can help you relax and maybe even sleep a longer stretch. You might not notice it immediately. But over a period of weeks if you keep at the relaxation CDs may help you sleep a bit. Look for body scans on Amazon.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

thanks for the reply guys! I was in treatment off and on before getting pregnant. I have also been concerned because I have talked to a lot of other people who have healed them selves by going raw and only eating fruits and veggies and saying that meat is too acidic. I know Boaz has explained to me why we need meat and I love meat so have no problem eating just get so confused on how to heal ya know. I mean we all have diff symptoms and diff reasons for what/why we have this disease so would think that perhaps the healing process would be different. Anyway I'm rambling :) just have a lot on my mind!

Hi! I am so sorry this is so difficult right now!! it will change and get better. It is really hard when there are so many conflicting ideas out there. It can be confusing. I had been on the WHole Food/Traditional Foods bandwagon for a couple of years before I found Dr B so it wasn't difficult for me to believe inthis treatment. Everyone is unique. for me- I have kind of needed to "put on blinders" and go with my gut instinct about what makes sense to heal.

Best of luck- I hope you do better soon. (((HUG))) One day at a time.

Hi Hazy,
Just wanted to chime in that I feel for you tremendously!  I've been where you are (sitting on the toilet all night).  One of the few things that would help me get off the toilet and into bed was soaking in a hot bath for a good long time.  I could manage to fall asleep in the tub and then drousily transfer to bed for a couple hours at least. Just wanted to suggest that to help you out during a long night.
Sending you lots of healing!  Your body goes through so many changes during pregnancy and hopefully it'll change out of the high frequency soon.
xx
