Die off?

Forums:

Hi all,

as you know I've lowered carb intake recently (about 2 weeks). And now consistently take my RP/probiotics twice daily (with the arrival of baby I had skipped some here and there).

I'm feeling nauseas daily, and anxious. Even some vaginal itching which I haven't had in a long time. It is hard to know if this is die off because nausea was one of my old symptoms that returned. But it is worse now. And I haven't felt anxiety like this in years.

Its not easy when I'm doing my best more and symptoms worsen.

any thoughts?

CO my die-off has really hit me hard with the anxiety. Just trying to get through each hour. Trying to use my meditation. Sometimes it helps and sometimes my anxiety just takes over.  I sure wish there was an easier way. I just keep trying to tell myself this is not forever and when I get through this is will get better. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry to hear you have bad anxiety but it is comforting to know that you experiencf it as a die off symptom, at least it will pass when coming out the other side.

yes, a few healthy carbs would give you some energy and might help with your anxiety.

When you stop giving the body carbs for fuel it has to re-set to start burning fat. I doubt you are carb-free tho, right? But probably even low carb when your body is used to a lot of them can give you a "carb flu" as the body is trying to find something else to burn for fuel. This is discussed all over the keto forums. If you are having 200 calories from carbs per day or less, you may be in mild ketosis which can explain nausea (i was getting a headache). Keeping a few carbs should help the nausea?

When I dropped the carbs for a few days I got a headache and told Dr. Brizman. I was thinking it was die off, but she said it was "carb flu" (even though she did not call it that). She said the lack of carbs was making me feel lousy. As she posted, it might be right for some people, I just think I am not going to do it for now.

I am thinking of going low carb, like 50 grams a day. Can anyone give me feedback on how their bladder handeled low carb please. Did it increase symptoms? Feel free to inbox me as I am afraid I will miss the reply to this feed. Thanks.
