Hey there,
so I´ve been in treatment since May 2013 (18 months) and most of time I only deal with minor issues like background urgency. Which is great and I´m so thankful. Overall I feel pretty good and look good. A few times per month urgency and ickyness in my urethra increase but never to the point that I have to cancel appoinments with clients (I am a mobile massage therapist). So if I flare it´s low pain and usually goes away after a few hours. Even my constant vaginal infection that I was struggling with for over a year finally tapered off in the beginning of the year. Sex stopped being a problem after approx. 2 or 3 months into treatment. That´s why it worries me that I am flaring this morning after I had sex with my boyfriend last night. I first thought I have a UTI bc the urge was so strong but fortunately that´s not the case as it doesn´t hurt whilst peeing. We didn´t have sex very often lately bc he has been dealing with some health issues. But still I don´t understand why? We didn´t even do something different or went overly crazy. Has this ever happened to some of you? I mean, that you are normally ok with sex and suddenly it starts bothering you? It´s the first time that I had to cancel an appointment with a client bc of IC pain after starting treatment with Dr. B.
And another issue that started for me a few weeks ago is eczema. It developed on the frontside of my right lower leg and is gradually becoming bigger. It itches and wets and is just so annoying. I first thought it´s herpes since I had blisters but after reading stuff online I came to the conclusion that it must be eczema. Matia´s first reaction to a picture of it was "OMG" which scares me. She agreed that I should see a dermatologist to have it checked. I wonder why I´m developing eczema after eating a clean diet for 18 months. I never had this issue before. It´s a little bit depressing as it probably means that my gut is still a mess.
Did any of you girls develop eczema during treatment? Did anybody of you ever get rid of eczema? Mine seems to feel pretty well and is growing and growing. I´m thinking about eliminating eggs and dairy products for a two weeks to see if it gets better. I also decided not to eat any gluten products anymore. What do you think?

This might be a stretch but was he wearing protection? If he is dealing with health issues could he have passed some of his yeast to you even through kissing. idk just a thought. I know boaz has been very specific about my husband cleaning with my soap and brushing his teeth with my toothpaste prior to sex. He has also been very specific about what kind of condoms we use.

Hey atraylor. Yes we always use condoms. But right now I suspect my cold to be the trigger. I came down with runny nose and cough just shortly after I made this post. Has anybody experienced increase in ic symptoms during cold or flu?
Regarding my eczema: it's not. It's not herpes either. The doctor told me it's impetigo and of course I prescribed an antibiotic topical cream. Still waiting for dr. B.'s reply. Some good news: my pap smear tests results were fine. So that's a relief.

Hope you find something to help with the infection, sounds ouchie!!! I have awful fungus blisters on my feet and use liquid goldenseal to help. Hoping everything else settled too!

Dr M told me that sometimes, the syomptoms increase with cold/flu. I think mine did in the run up to my last cold.
Also- for me, bad reactions to sex have improved overall I think but it is very random and always has been. I do much worse if I have an orgasm (UNFAIR)

Dr. M changed my protocol to fight the infection. She said the change isn´t optimal for my bladder but we need to clear the impetigo. It hasn´t spread more since yesterday. So that´s a good sign. I may have caught the impetigo from one of our five cats. They sleep in my bed. Not all at once of course! I think my boyfriend has it too. He always bites the skin off his fingertips and now he has two big yellow blisters there. I hope we get rid of it. We have to wash all our clothes and blankets at high temperature. I will update you guys next week when it is supposed to be gone.
