Forums:
Hi Everyone,
I have missed all of you. I have been staying away from the Forum because I've been trying to get my bearings, if that makes sense. A lot has happened in the last few months, and normally I am open about things, but I have to be a little guarded right now, and I don't want to get into details.
I wondered if any of you have been diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia. It's a long shot, but I wanted to ask. I think this may be what I am experiencing and have been for a long time, but I didn't know that's what it was. Matia told me that if I have it, she can help me calm down the inflammation which calms down the nerve, and that makes sense. I just wondered if anyone here was experiencing this and experiencing relief. I have experienced relief before, and I know I can again, it's just difficult right now, but I'm slowly seeing improvement.
Please be sensitive and encouraging in your responses. You all usually are this way, but I just need to be honest. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about what I'm going through and stay relaxed! Pelvic floor muscle tightness is part of the problem right now, and relaxation is key.
Love you guys!
Thanks. :)
Hey my dear,
Hey my dear,
My husband's friend (a man) was incapacitated by PE and he tried western meds, some alternative stuff briefly and physical therapy. He hasn't talked in detail about it to my husband recently but he is obviously doing better because he's running 50 mile races and doing many other things. I think it was the PT that helped him. I would love to know more about how he is doing but men don't really give too many details and my husband doesn't ask. They don't talk too often but I iwll ask Rob maybe to drop him an email to ask how he is.
When Rob was describing what Matt said about his pain all I could think was "IC." I guess the main question for me always is "how does the inflammation start?" I would think Matia's approach would really be addressing that part of it? Trying to deeply affect the root cause of the inflammation and heal it/balance it.
I have been thinking of you and praying for you daily. I hope you get the comfort you need soon.
xoxo

So good to hear from you! I
So good to hear from you! I know I have a lot of pelvic floor tightness issues as well, but not sure about PE. I know other patients are trying things to treat PE, hopefully they will respond to help give you some encouragement! Praying for you!
Hello. I was seeing a pelvic
Hello. I was seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist for about a year and a half (before and during treatment), and they thought that I might have this. I don't know for sure, but I certainly had a lot of arousal type symptoms early on (it's much better now). I also have to be very careful about clitoral stimlution (sorry if that's TMI) because it can quickly send me into a huge huge flare. I think this and the bladder and the vv symptoms are all related and are all caused by my gut imbalances. I've seen improvement in this from both physical therapy and Icama treatment, though I think the point when the pelvic floor muscles really started to release was from what I've done with Icama. Hang in there. It's not pleasant, but I really believe it can get better. The shame aspect is also difficult because you feel like you can't talk about it with people. I've told numerous people about the other aspects of my issues, but very very few about this.
Also, a physical therapist
Also, a physical therapist can guide you in certain positions to avoid so that you don't stretch the nerve. I have to be really cautious about forward fold type positions (bending down with straight legs), child's pose, extreme hip flexion, etc.
Thanks you guys.
Thanks you guys.
Hey guys - just posted this
Hey guys - just posted this elsewhere BUT - I think you can send private messages by going to the tab up on the top - clicking on My account - scrolling down to messages, clicking on it - and posting to someone from there. I'm just not sure if hey are notified that you've sent something and know where to look. Or, it may not work - although it did when I sent myself something..
Denise
Thanks you for that
Thanks you for that information Denise!
