Hello Ladies,
I am going to go ahead and ask the hot button question of do you vaccinate, why/why not and have you found any merit in spacing them or getting away from the multiple-shot vaccines? I vaccinated my two girls- ordered them without thimerisol - although my understanding is that the flu vaccine still contains it. I made the " mistake" of looking up the ingredients in the vaccines and they are horrific. Would love thoughtful and information based opinions;) Thanks!
Hi Katie,
Hi Katie,
Sorry - no help - I do have to say that I'm grateful that I don't have to make these decisions - I know that I would be so torn.
Hope all is well with you?
Take Care,
Denise
Hey Denise, Thanks for the
Hey Denise, Thanks for the reply ( and to those of you who have messages me privately- I totally get it;) The amount of information is totally dizzying out there and you are absolutely right-I feel like there is no "perfect" answer. I will keep searching and post what I find helpful. Amazing to me that mercury just got switched out for aluminum- the great ideas never stop;(
Katie
I do not vaccinate. I am
I do not vaccinate. I am super busy with a show right now and I wnt to take time to answer you but wanted to tell you the basic answer.
How are you, Mama!! Hope that guy is doing well.:) xoxoxoxo
Deir, I am so incredibly
Deir, I am so incredibly excited that you are doing a show! Yay! Perhaps we could chat and I could pick your brain sometime in the next few weeks? Especially living in NY- don't they have the strictest laws in the country about vaccines?
We are doing wonderfully! I am so in love with my little guy and his sisters absolutely adore him. I feel so blessed......now if only I could get some sleep and not smell like breast milk...lol.

Sure we could chat. The show
Sure we could chat. The show opens next weeka nd then I am free for a month and a half before my NEXT SHOW!! (Which I am actually in!) I am directing the current one.
We are actually in PA- which luckily was began as a Quaker state so our Religious exemption should hopefully be strong. Although I just had a few back and forths with a State Senator who I happen to know a bit. He is sponsoring a bill to tighten the exemption law. It is disturbing. Wherre else could these laws lead to? I don't think I changed hhis mind but I did open the idea that not all poele who choose not to vax are crazy, lazy selfish hippies. Also, i brought up how incredibly difficult it is to get a medical exemption. My friend's co- worker with MS was forced to get a flu vax by the Chief of Staff at her Hospital where they work or lose her job- even though her personal physician GAVE HER A MED WAIVER!!
So- when my schedule lighhtens up after enxt week, let's chat! Sending you sleepy baby vibes!!! (((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))))
Katie,
Katie,
I'm not sure where I stand on this... on one front, I only have only child who for the most part is fully vaccinated. She is now 18 and I will not get her the Gardisil vaccine. She got most of her vaccines before I even thought about them causing harm. When she was in 3rd grade and we moved I couldn't find record of her having a needed MMR vaccine for school so she had to get ANOTHER one when in actuality she had all the ones she needed. Soon after this she developed something called Air Hunger, she felt she could take a deep breath or get enough air. I took her to a Dr. and of course nothing was found and he thought it was anxiety, but this has cropped up numerous times over the years. It always passes but I wonder if it has a connection to the MMR vaccine... I will never know. The only vaccine left that I do want her to get is for Menengitis, the thought of her dying or losing limbs terrifies me so she wil get that one. But she has never had a flu vaccine and I wish she never got the one for Chicken Pox, but I guess you live and learn. Glad you are well!
Christne
Hi Christine, I made exactly
Hi Christine, I made exactly the same choices you have regarding my girls- no Gardasil, flu shot and I did not get the chicken pox vaccine either. I appreciate your post and hope you are still feeling well;)
Dier - not on vaccinations -
Dier - not on vaccinations - I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS! Oh my gosh, you hung in there and got to the point that you could live your joy. Aren't we ALL jsut incredible....just had to include myself and EVERYONE. I found a new phrase - from the Unbroken movie - "IF YOU CAN TAKE IT YOU CAN MAKE IT"
Best wishes - really good not to hear your whining. : ) . I'm pretty sure you know that this is said with warmth from the most vocal former whiner around. By the way, I truly believe that whining is a big part in making it. It's a form of reaching out and letting others help.
Have a great time with your show!
Denise
