I know this is redundant! However, I have a question regarding coconut oil. I have stopped consuming it, and I plan to until finished with treatment. I read another post from Dr. B stating that after treatment, if it's in a recipe on occassion, it's okay. I have a few beauty products that have coconut oil in them, but not very much, and along with other ingredients. I found a post from Dr. B that stated that one of the Bomasense products had coconut oil in it, and since it wasn't a main ingredient, and not overpowering, she stated it's okay. I don't see Boaz until July, so I was just checking. Below is the Q & A Dr. B posted that I'm referring to:
Q: I noticed that coconut oil is listed in the ingredients in the unscented Bomasense face, body, wash. Is it okay for us to use, even though coconut oil is present--and coconut oil is forever bad to us ICers?
A: The coconut oil in my soap is combined gently with all of the other ingredients so that it is not an overwhelming ingredient and in all of these years, it has proven itself to be very gentle as I have had no problems with it. Straight coconut, or products with coconut predominating the formula will be a problem. Later when better, you can handle products with it in them no problem, but, I would not use pure coconut on your body or start consuming coconut regular by mouth.
If you are in constant pain
If you are in constant pain or symptomatic I dont think I would risk it. One of the ladies in treatment reacted 6 months because of her acne cream and didnt realize that was causing it. I am on list 4 and a year in treatment with good results but still dont stray from their products. For me it is just easier because they have done all the research on their products and I dont have to study them. More convenient. I will say one of the face lotions that they do not sell but ok'd caused me to flare at first. I tried it again after several months and now use it daily with no problems. Its a tough puzzle to solve.
I sell Ava Anderson Non Toxic
I sell Ava Anderson Non Toxic, and since I get a discount on all of their products, I use them. The ingredients are pretty similar to Bomasense products. I will just have to take them along when I go to my appointment. I know a few have coconut oil in them, so I may stop using those for now. I started using the products after my symptoms started, and they haven't gotten worse, so I'm hoping that means they aren't affecting me negatively. And yes, it's a big puzzle of do's and don'ts. Very frustrating! I need to start keeping a better log of things. Thanks for the feedback :)
